And Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters; but his brothers had not many children, neither did all their family multiply, like the children of Judah.

All these who were chosen to be gatekeepers in the gates were two hundred and twelve. These were recorded by their genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their office of trust.

According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

For your people Israel did you make your own people forever; and you, LORD, became their God.
