For the word of the cross is to the lost foolishness, but to the saved the power of God.

but I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know not the word of those who are puffed up but the power;

for the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

For to one is given by the Spirit a word of wisdom, and to another a word of knowledge by the same Spirit,

So also you by a tongue if you utter a word not easily understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for you will speak to the air.

Did the word of God go out from you, or did it come to you alone?

by which also you are saved, if you adhere to the word we preached to you, unless indeed you believed in vain.

And when this destructible has put on indestructibleness, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall the word be accomplished that is written; Death was swallowed up in victory.
