And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all who were with them. For they cried to God in the battle, and He was pleased to hear them, because they put their trust in Him.

And they stripped him, and carried his head and his armor, and sent into the land of the Philistines all around, to carry news to their idols and to the people.

And three of the mighty captains went down to the rock to David, into the cave of Adullam. And the Philistine army camped in the Valley of the Giants.

And of the Gadites mighty men separated themselves to David into the stronghold in the wilderness, men of the army for battle, setting in order shield and buckler, and their faces were the faces of a lion, and as gazelles on the heights for swiftness:

And David did not bring the ark to himself to the City of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

And David asked of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? And will You deliver them into my hand? And Jehovah said to him, Go up, for I will deliver them into your hand.

And the name of David went out into all lands. And Jehovah brought the fear of him on all nations.

Then on that day David first delivered this psalm into the hand of Asaph and his brothers in order to thank Jehovah:

And David said, I will show kindness to Hanun the son of Nahash, because his father showed kindness to me. And David sent messengers to comfort him concerning his father. And David's servants came into the land of the sons of Ammon to Hanun, in order to comfort him.

And he delivered the rest of the people into the hand of his brother Abishai. And they set in order against the sons of Ammon.

And when the sons of Ammon saw that the Syrians had fled, they also fled before his brother Abishai. And they entered into the city. And Joab came to Jerusalem.

And David said to Gad, I am in great distress. Let me fall now into the hand of Jehovah, for His mercies are very great. But do not let me fall into the hand of man.

And Jehovah commanded the angel, and he put up his sword again into its sheath.

Is not Jehovah your God with you? And has He not given you rest on every side? For He has given the people of the land into my hand. And the land is humbled before Jehovah and before His people.

Now set your heart and your soul to seek Jehovah your God. Arise therefore and build the sanctuary of Jehovah God, to bring the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of Jehovah.

And David divided them into courses among the sons of Levi, Gershon, Kohath and Merari.

These were their orderings in their service to come into the house of Jehovah, according to their manner, to Aaron their father, as Jehovah, the God of Israel had commanded him.
