Thus you lack no spiritual endowment during these days of waiting till our Lord Jesus Christ is revealed;

Why, look at your own ranks, my brothers; not many wise men (that is, judged by human standards), not many leading men, not many of good birth, have been called!

you are still worldly. For with jealousy and quarrels in your midst, are you not worldly, are you not behaving like ordinary men?

Look at the rites of Israel. Do not those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar?

But I would like you to understand this: Christ is the head of every man, man is the head of woman, and God is the head of Christ.

for as woman was made from man, so man is now made from woman, while both, like all things, come from God.)

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I argued like a child; now that I am a man, I am done with childish ways.

Now I would like you all to speak with 'tongues,' but I would prefer you to prophesy. The man who prophesies is higher than the man who speaks with 'tongues' ??unless indeed the latter interprets, so that the church may get edification.

Well, I want you to put yourselves under people like that, under everyone who sets his hand to the work.

They refresh my spirit as they do your own. You should appreciate men like that.
