Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,

That thou mayest know the certainty of those things in which thou hast been instructed.

And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and secluded herself five months, saying,

And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill-country with haste, into a city of Judah,

And he put forth a parable to those who were invited, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying to them,

For I say to you, that none of those men who were invited, shall taste my supper.

But those my enemies, who would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he was teaching the people in the temple, and preaching the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him, with the elders,

But woe to them that are with child, and to them that nurse infants in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for apprehension of those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Said to them, Ye have brought this man to me, as one that perverteth the people: and behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man, touching those things of which ye accuse him;
