to the church of God which is at Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints together with all those who in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours:

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know God, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

But, as it is written, "No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived what God has prepared for those who love him,"

For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge?

God judges those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you."

But if you marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. Yet those who marry will have troubles in this flesh, and I am trying to spare you.

I mean, brethren, the appointed time has grown very short; so that from now on, those who have wives should live as though they had none,

and those who mourn, as though they were not mourning; and those who rejoice, as though they were not rejoicing; and those who buy, as though they did not possess;

and those who use the world, as though they did not make full use of it. For the form of this world is passing away.

This is my defense to those who would examine me.

Do you not know that those who work in the temple get their food from the temple, and those who serve at the altar share in what is offered on the altar?

In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living from the gospel.

To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews; to those under the law I became as one under the lawthough not being myself under the lawso that I might win those under the law.

To those who are without law, I became as one without law, though not being without the law of God but under the law of Christ, so that I might win those who are without the law.

Consider Israel after the flesh; are not those who eat the sacrifices partners in the altar?

For there must be factions among you in order that those who are genuine among you may be recognized.

What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? No, I will not.

and those parts of the body which we think less honorable we treat with the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty,

And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, then those having gifts of healings, helps, administrations, and those speaking in various kinds of tongues.

Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.

But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then, at his coming, those who belong to him.

Otherwise, what will those do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why then are people baptized for them?

As was the man of dust, so are those who are of the dust; and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven.

And when I arrive, I will send those whom you approve with letters to carry your gift to Jerusalem.
