since even Jews ask for signs, and the Greeks seek for wisdom;

but, as it is written: "The things which eye hath not seen, and ear hath not heard, and which have not entered into the heart of man, the great things which God hath prepared for those that love him."

Art thou bound to a wife, seek not to be loosed from her; art thou loosed from a wife, do not seek for one.

For if any one see thee, who hast knowledge, at table in an idols temple, will not the conscience of him that is weak be emboldened to eat the things offered to idols?

Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are not ye my work in the Lord?

Let no one seek his own pleasure, but the good of others.

Nay, still more, those members of the body which seem to be weak, are necessary;

For now we see in a mirror, obscurely; but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I shall fully know even as I also am fully known.

but God giveth it a body, as he willed, and to every seed its own body.

For I am unwilling to see you now in passing; for I hope to stay some time with you if the Lord permit.

Now if Timothy come, see that he be with you without fear; for he is laboring in the work of the Lord, as I am;
