in whom also you, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also you having believed were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

Therefore, I also, having heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and love to all the saints,

if indeed you heard of the dispensation of the grace of God given to me for you,

if you have indeed heard him, and been instructed by him as the truth is in Jesus,

not with eye service as pleasing men, but as servants of Christ doing the will of God from the heart,
