And these things, brethren, I have transferred in a figure to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that in us ye may learn not to go beyond what is written, that no one of you may pride himself in one against another.

I write not these things to shame you, but I am warning you as my beloved children.

Is it on mans authority that I am saying these things, or doth not the Law too say the same?

Now these things were warnings for us, in order that we should not lust after evil things, as they lusted.

Now these things happened to them as warnings, and were recorded for our admonition, to whom the ends of the ages have come.

But all these worketh the one and selfsame Spirit, allotting to each one severally as it will.

and what we think to be less honorable parts of the body, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our unseemly parts have more abundant seemliness;

And now there abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
