For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.

And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

You also must help us by your prayers, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

Any one whom you forgive, I also forgive. What I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sake in the presence of Christ,

always carrying about in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.

Since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I believed and therefore I spoke," we also believe and therefore speak,

knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence.

Now he who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.

Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men; but what we are is known to God, and I hope it is known also to your conscience.

You look at things as they are outwardly. If anyone is confident in himself that he is Christ's, let him consider this again within himself, that just as he is Christ's, so also are we.

And what I am doing, I will also continue to do, in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things of which they boast.

Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will be according to their deeds.

To my shame, I must say that we were too weak for that! But whatever anyone else dares to boast aboutI am speaking as a foolI also dare to boast about.

For he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God for you.
