And a certain man was there, who had been diseased eight and thirty years.

Jesus seeing him lie, and knowing that he had now been diseased a long time, saith to him, Desirest thou to be made whole?

And as he passed on, he saw a man who had been blind from his birth.

They bring to the Pharisees the man who had aforetime been blind.

He said, He is a prophet. But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind and received his sight, till they had called the parents of him who had received his sight.

Therefore they called a second time the man that had been blind, and said to him, Give glory to God; we know that this man is a sinner.

Jesus said to them, If ye had been blind, ye would have had no sin. But now ye say, We see: therefore your sin remaineth.

When Jesus came, he found he had been now four days in the tomb.

Then said Martha to Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

When Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell at his feet, saying to him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

Jesus saith, Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of the deceased, saith to him, Lord, by this time he stinketh; for he hath been buried four days.

And he that had been dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapt about with a napkin. Jesus saith to them, Loose him, and let him go.

Then Jesus, six days before the passover, came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, who had been dead, whom he had raised from the dead.

These things his disciples understood not at first; but when Jesus had been glorified, then they remembered, that these things were written of of him, and that they had done these things to him.

So that the word of the prophet Isaiah was fulfilled which he said, Lord, who hath believed our report? And to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?

Jesus saith to him, He who hath been bathed, needeth only to wash his feet, and is clean all over: and ye are clean; but not all.

Jesus saith to him, Have I been so long with you, and hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me, hath seen the Father: and how sayest thou, Shew us the Father?

Ye also testify, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

Now in the place where he was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new sepulchre, in which no man had ever been laid.
