And he gave him no inheritance in it, no, not to set his foot on; yet he promised to give it him for a possession, even to his seed after him, when he had no child.
Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thy own nation, even the chief priests, have delivered thee to me.
And there followed him great multitudes from Galilee and Decapolis, and Jerusalem and Judea, and from beyond Jordan.
For he that hath, to him shall be given; but he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

Honour widows that are widows indeed. But if any widow have children or grand children, let these learn first to shew piety at home,

But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them; and then shall they fast in those days.
To whom then shall I liken the men of this generation, and to what are they like?
That in a great trial of affliction, their overflowing joy and their deep poverty abounded to the riches of their liberality:
Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents.
And as he sowed, some fell by the way-side, and the birds of the air came and devoured it.
And they all ate and were satisfied: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
And being with child she crieth, travailing in birth and pained to be delivered.
And after they were brought to Babylon, Jeconiah begat Salathiel, and Salathiel begat Zerubbabel; And Zerubbabel begat Abiud,
For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did, by which we draw nigh to God.
And being fully assured, that what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
When therefore the Lord of the vineyard cometh, what will he do to those husbandmen?
Saith to them, Withdraw; for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth: and they derided him.
Or what king marching to incounter another king in war, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand, to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
If any inquire concerning Titus, he is my partner, and fellow-labourer with respect to you; or concerning our brethren, they are the messengers of the churches, the glory of Christ.
(For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man: for many times it had caught him, and he had been kept bound with chains and fetters, and breaking the bands asunder, he had been driven by the spirit into the deserts.)
I have sent him therefore the more willingly, that ye seeing him again may rejoice, and that I also may be the less sorrowful.
And while the day was coming on, Paul exhorted them all to take food, saying, This day is the fourteenth that ye have tarried and continue fasting, having taken nothing.
And the whole city was moved, and the people ran together; and laying hold on Paul, they dragged him out of the temple: and immediately the gates were shut.
But he said the more vehemently, If I must die with thee, I will in no wise deny thee. In like manner also said they all.
And when he had given him leave, Paul standing on the stairs, waved his hand to the people: and a great silence being made, he spake to them in the Hebrew tongue, saying,
And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said to him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
And in the evening, he was there alone: but the vessel was now in the midst of the sea, tossed by the waves; for the wind was contrary.
And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God who worketh all in all.
They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them.
For his letters indeed, say they, are weighty and strong; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.
Receive us. We have hurt no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man.
Verily I say to you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, till that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

Whereas if all prophesy, and there come in an unbeliever, or an ignorant person, he is convicted by all, he is judged by all:
Who can forgive sins but God only? And Jesus knowing their thoughts, answered and said to them, Why reason ye in your hearts?
And Jesus immediately knowing in himself, that virtue had gone out of him, turning about in the croud said, Who touched my clothes?
Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son God, come down from the cross.
Now it is good to be zealous in a good thing always, and not only while I am present with you.
On which looking stedfastly, I observed and saw four-footed creatures of the earth, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard to others.
Let all things be done to edification. If any one speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two or three at most, and that by course, and let one interpret.
And say to Archippus, Take heed that thou fulfil the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord.
And if I send them away fasting to their own home, they will faint by the way; for divers of them come from far.
And when he was come into an house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?
And the angel said to him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals; and he did so. And he saith to him, Throw thy garment about thee, and follow me.
And sent Timotheus our brother and minister of God and our fellow-worker in the gospel of Christ, to establish you and to comfort you concerning your faith,
Yet in the congregation I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that I may teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
It hath pleased them, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have partook of their spiritual things, they ought to minister to them in carnal things.
And again he sent to them another servant: and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.
Which is easier? To say, Thy sins are forgiven thee? Or to say, Rise up and walk?
And they said, Seven. And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground; and taking the seven loaves, having given thanks, he brake and gave to his disciples to set before them: and they did set them before the people.
But he was asleep. And his disciples coming to him awoke him, saying, Lord, save us; we perish.
And the whole city was filled with confusion; and they rushed with one accord into the theatre, dragging with them Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's fellow-travellers.
But he that wronged his neighbour thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us?
And sitting down, they guarded him there, And set up over his head his accusation written,
But ye see and hear, that not at Ephesus only, but almost through all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned aside much people, saying, That they are not gods, which are made with hands.
For the earth bringeth forth fruit of itself, first the blade, then the ear, after that, the full corn in the ear.
But when he came upon the stairs, he was borne of the soldiers, through the violence of the people.
Then come to him the Saducees, who say there is no resurrection, and they asked him,
and about to be killed by them, I came with the soldiery and rescued him, having learned, that he was a Roman.
And desiring to know the crime of which they accused him, I brought him before their council: Whom I found to be accused concerning questions of their law,

For if ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers; for I have begotten you in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them; for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
But ye have a custom, that I should release to you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release to you the king of the Jews?
And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said to them, Why loose ye the colt?
And have fallen away, to renew them again unto repentance, seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
and being in a trance, I saw a vision, a certain vessel descending, as it were a great sheet, let down from heaven by the four corners, and it came even to me:
For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem that now is, and is in bondage with her children.

and of faith in God, Of the doctrine of baptisms and laying on of hands, and the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

And Paul and those with him loosing from Paphos, came to Perga in Pamphylia; but John withdrawing from them, returned to Jerusalem.
How can one enter into the strong one's house, and plunder his goods, unless he first bind the strong one?

But there is not in all men this knowledge; for some do even until now, with consciousness of the idol, eat it as sacrificed to the idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.
Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying to him, Lord, trouble not thyself; for I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof.
And always night and day, he was in the tombs, and in the mountains, crying and cutting himself with stones.
And they were all amazed and glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to-day.
And having cried and rent him sore, he came out; and he was as dead, so that many said, He is dead.
And after they had tarried a space, they were dismissed with peace by the brethren to the apostles.
And going into one of the boats, which was Simon's, he desired him to thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the multitude out of the boat.
saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel; for they are dead who sought the young child's life.
And coming in quickly with haste to the king she asked, saying, I will that thou give me immediately in a charger the head of John the Baptist.
And he said to them, What man is there among you, that shall have one sheep, who if it fall into a pit on the sabbath, will not lay hold on it and lift it out?
And I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.
Then the captain going with the officers brought them, not with violence, for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned.
Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them, as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
Who can have compassion on the ignorant and the wandering, seeing he himself also is compassed with infirmity,
And behold immediately three men stood at the house where I was, sent from Cesarea to me.
And he sware to her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask me, I will give thee, to the half my kingdom.
And as Isaiah had said before, Unless the Lord of hosts had left us a seed, we had been as Sodom, and had been made like Gomorrah.
But all this is done, that the scriptures of the prophets may be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him and fled.

But what went ye out to see? A prophet? Yea, I say to you, and much more than a prophet.

And immediately Jesus reaching forth his hand, caught him, and saith to him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.
And some of the people, and tribes, and tongues, and nations, shall behold their dead bodies three days and a half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in a grave.
Neither because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children, but in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
was moved with tender compassion, And going to him, bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and setting him on his own beast, he brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
Now she that is a widow indeed and desolate, trusteth in God and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.
But the spiritual man discerneth all things, while he himself is discerned by no man.
And again he sent another, and him they killed; and many others, beating some and killing some.
But if ye inquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly.
Who had his dwelling among the tombs, and no man could bind him, no not with chains.
But I say to you, That one greater than the temple is here. And if ye had known what that meaneth,
the son of Salmon, the son of Naasson, The son of Aminadab, the son of Aaron, the son of Esrom, the son of Phares, the son of Judah,
the son of Neri, The son of Melchi, the son of Addi, the son of Cosam,
But when the sailors were attempting to flee out of the ship, and had let down the boat into the sea, under pretence that they were going to carry out anchors from the ship-head,
And not holding the head, from which all the body being nourished and knit together, by the joints and ligaments, increaseth with the increase of God.
But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews made an assault with one consent upon Paul, and brought him to the judgment-seat, Saying,
For he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder, by him, and the fetters broken in pieces; and no man could tame him.
But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do good on the sabbath-day.
Therefore being sent for, I came without gain-saying. I ask therefore, for what intent ye have sent for me?
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and hurt not the oil and the wine.
If any man destroy the temple of God, him shall God destroy: for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
We have heard out of the law, that the Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up?
She answered and said to him, True, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
For when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side: from without were fightings, from within were fears.
And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.
If Satan then be risen up and divided against himself, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, which are ready to die; for I have not found thy works compleat before my God.
And she said, True, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their master's table.
but rather grown worse, Having heard of Jesus, came in the croud behind, and touched his garment.
To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all the spoils; being by interpretation, first king of righteousness, and then king of Salem also, which is king of peace;
That is, not the children of the flesh are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book and to loose the seals thereof?
And it shall come to pass, in the place where it was said to them, Ye are not my people, there shall they be called the sons of the living God.
And being at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews; and they had also John for their attendant.
And they departed, and went thro' the towns preaching the Gospel and healing every where.
And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them to tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.
And they went and found the colt tied, without, in the street, and they loose him.
And when he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, Come. And I saw, and behold a black horse, and he that sat on him had a pair of scales in his hand.
And he told him, Thy brother is come, and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him in good health.
to be testified of in due season, Whereunto I am ordained a preacher and an apostle, (I speak the truth, I lie not) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
And he arose and went. And lo an Ethiopian, an eunuch of great authority under Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was over all her treasure,
The Salutation of Paul, with my own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
Great is my freedom of speech toward you; great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I exceedingly abound with joy, over all our affliction.
But if any one love God, he is known by him. I say, as to the eating of things sacrificed to idols,
And if any one would hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth and devoureth their enemies, and if any would kill them, he must thus be killed.
I have sent you to reap that whereon ye have bestowed no labour: others have laboured, and ye are entered into their labour.
And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this person hath done nothing amiss.
If not, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an embassage, and desireth conditions of peace.
Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.
I fed you with milk, not with meat; for ye were not yet able to bear it: nor are ye now able.
And when the season of fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, to receive the fruits of it.
It seemed good to me also, having accurately traced all things from their first rise, to write unto thee in order, most noble Theophilus,
Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. So after he had heard that he was sick,
Therefore I thought it necessary, to desire the brethren to go before to you, and compleat this your bounty, which had been spoken of before, that it may be ready as a bounty, and not as a matter of covetousness.
Then some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers incountered him: and some said, What would this babler say? Others, he seemeth to be a proclaimer of strange gods; because he preached to them Jesus, and the resurrection.
And this they did, not as we hoped; but first gave themselves to the Lord, and to us by the will of God:
I speak not by way of command, but that by the diligence of others, I may prove the sincerity of your love.
And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and shall make merry, and send gifts to one another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt upon the earth.
And she went out and said to her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.
For all things are for your sakes, that the overflowing grace might through the thanksgiving of many abound to the glory of God.
And as he sat on the mount of Olives, over-against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
And having taken up the anchors, they committed it to the sea, at the same time loosing the rudder-bands, and hoisting up the stay-sail to the wind, they made for the shore.
But as then, he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, so it is now also.
But I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you.
Then Mary, taking a pound of ointment, of very costly spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
But the husbandmen seeing the Son, said among themselves, This is the heir; come let us kill him and seize on his inheritance.
But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily; their voice is gone into all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.
And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion; because many devils had entered into him.
But take heed to yourselves for they will deliver you to councils, and ye shall be beaten in synagogues, and shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them.
Opening them and evincing, That Christ ought to suffer, and to rise from the dead, and that this is the Christ, even Jesus, whom I declare unto you.
God hath fulfilled this to us their children, in raising up Jesus: as it is written also in the second Psalm, Thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee.
Peter saith to him, If I must die with thee, yet will I in no wise deny thee. In like manner also said all the disciples.
And he said to them, Is a candle brought to be cut under a bushel or under a bed, and not to be set on a candlestick?
And kneeling down, he cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And having said this, he fell asleep: And Saul was consenting to his death.
For this person was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he that hath builded it hath more honour than the house.
These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophesying, and have power over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues as often as they will.
For there was a tabernacle prepared, the first, in which was the candlestick, and the table, and the shew-bread; which is called The holy place.
That no one might be moved by these afflictions; for ye know that we are appointed hereto.
Seeing then these things cannot be denied, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.
Verily, verily I say to you, Hereafter ye shall see the heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of man.
But what saith the scripture? Cast out the bond-woman and her son; for the son of the bond-woman shall not be heir with the son of the free-woman.
And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for all men have not faith.
Some mens sins are manifest before-hand, going before to judgment: and some they follow after.
And as he prayed, the fashien of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.
But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord permit, and will know, not the speech of them who are puffed up, but the power.
Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come to thee; but speak in a word, and my servant shall be healed.
And Herod said, John have I beheaded; but who is this of whom I hear such things? And he sought to see him.
So that on the contrary ye should rather forgive and comfort him, lest such an one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.
And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts, till the day of his being shewn to Israel.
And while he was yet nigh to Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging.
And no one taketh this honour to himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
These are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks, standing before the Lord of the earth.
And they had a few small fishes: and having blessed them, he commanded, to set them also before them.
And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.
And when they were satisfied with food, they lightened the ship, casting out the wheat into the sea.
And they answering said to Jesus, We cannot tell. And he said to them, Neither tell I you, by what authority I do these things.
But into the second, only the high-priest once a year, not without blood, which he offereth for himself and the errors of the people:
And when he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, Come.
Praying us with much intreaty, to receive the gift and take a part in ministring it to the saints.
And Nicodemus also came (who at first had come to Jesus by night) bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pounds.
And Saul arose from the earth; and his eyes being opened, he saw no man; but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.
And having gone through those parts, and exhorted them with much discourse, he came into Greece.
The man answered and said to them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not whence he is; altho' he hath opened my eyes!
For as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.
And Judas also, who betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus had often met there with his disciples.
But behold, there are last who shall be first, and there are first who shall be last.
And he that sat, was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone; and a rainbow was round about the throne, like an emerald to look upon.
for the kingdom of God's sake, Who shall not receive manifold more in the present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, which could not perfect the worshiper as to his conscience,
But God who comforteth them that are brought low, comforted us by the coming of Titus.
So that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also compleat this gift among you.
But all have not obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
And his disciples answered him, Whence can one satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness?
Art thou come hither to torment us before the time? And there was afar off from them an herd of many swine feeding.
He that despised the law of Moses died without mercy, under two or three witnesses.
And there went forth another horse that was red; and to him that sat thereon it was given to take peace from the earth, that they should kill one another; and there was given him a great sword.
And he spake boldly in the synagogue. And Aquila and Priscilla hearing him, took him to their house, and explained to him the way of God more perfectly.
But I said, In no wise, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath ever entered into my mouth.
And David the king begat Solomon, of the wife of Uriah; And Solomon begat Rehoboam, and Rehoboam begat Abijah, and Abijah begat Asa;
Then the servant falling prostrate at his feet, said, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
Having the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant, overlaid round about with gold, wherein was a golden pot having the manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant:
And the voice from heaven answered me again, What God hath purified, call not thou common.
And the disciples hearing it, came and took up his corpse and laid it in a tomb.
He then having received the sop, went out immediately. And it was night, when he went out.
And casting him out of the city, stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man, whose name was Saul.
That to their power, I testify, and beyond their power, they were willing of themselves,
to tell this to no man, saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.
And in as much as not without an oath he was made priest: (For those priests were made without an oath,
But if there be no interpreter, let him be silent in the church, and let him speak to himself and to God.
Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils,
I am become a fool in boasting; but ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended by you: for in nothing have I fallen short of the very chief apostles, though I am nothing.
And his disciples say to him, Whence should we have so much bread in a wilderness, as to satisfy so great a multitude?
For the Lord is finishing and cutting short his account in righteousness; for the Lord will make a short account upon the earth.
And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven, saying, Seal up the things which the seven thunders have uttered, and write them not.
And behold certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
Demetrius hath a good testimony from all men, and from the truth itself: yea, we also bear testimony, and ye know that our testimony is true.
And they led Jesus away to the high priest, and with him were assembled all the chief priests, and the elders and scribes.
Which the brethren knowing, brought him down to Cesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus.
Then he put his hands again on his eyes and made him look up, and he was restored and saw all men clearly.
And his disciples came and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus.
And he said to them, This is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many.
And some of the vagabond Jews, who were exorcists, undertook to name the name of the Lord Jesus, over those who had evil spirits, saying, We adjure you by Jesus, whom Paul preacheth.
And the counsel of the soldiers was, to kill the prisoners, lest any one should swim away and escape.
And the king was exceeding sorry: yet for his oath's sake, and for the sake of his guests, he would not reject her.
And his disciples said to him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
The salutation of me Paul by my own hand. Be mindful of my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen.
For this is the word of the promise, At this time I will come, and Sarah shall have a son.
And he cometh and findeth them sleeping, and saith to Peter, Simon, sleepest thou?
So he came again to Cana of Galilee, where he had made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.
He said, Yea. And the tribune answered, I purchased this freedom with a great sum of money.
And as soon as it was determined, that we should sail into Italy, they delivered Paul, and certain other prisoners, to a centurion named Julius, of the Augustan Cohort.
And coming to Jerusalem, he endeavoured to join himself to the disciples; but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple.
Happy are ye when men shall hate you, and shall separate you from their company, and shall revile you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil; the Lord will reward him according to his works.
And over it were the Cherubim of glory, shadowing the mercy-seat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.
And having gone through the whole isle to Paphos, they found a certain magician, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesus.
what have we to do with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy one of God.
But some among the multitude cried out one thing, some another; and when he could not know the certainty for the tumult, he commanded him to be carried into the castle.
And the soldiers having platted a crown of thorns, put it on his head, and put on him a purple robe, And said, Hail, king of the Jews.
At my first defence no man was with me, but all forsook me: may it not be laid to their charge?
And he had in his hand a little book opened, and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left upon the earth.
(As it is written, He hath scattered abroad, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness remaineth for ever.
And hearing these things, they were cut to the heart, and gnashed their teeth upon him.
And the fountain of her blood was straightway dried up, and she knew in her body, that she was healed of that plague.
Peter answering said to him, Tho' all should be offended at thee, I will never be offended.
And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, having been a cripple from his mother's womb, who had never walked.
But he said to them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was hungry, and they that were with him?
In like manner the good works also of some are manifest; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.
Yet I have sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you on this head should be made vain, that, as I said, ye may be ready;
They said, Seven, and a few small fishes. And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass.
And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right-hand of God.
A minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord hath fixed and not man.
For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.
But ye killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead, whereof we are witnesses.
And preaching boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, he disputed with the Hellenists: but they attempted to kill him:
And they that went before charged him to hold his peace; but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
And as he said this, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them.
And he said, Whereto shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what comparison shall we compare it?
Upon this Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou release this man, thou art not a friend to Cesar. Whosoever maketh himself a king, opposeth Cesar.
Now these things being thus prepared, the priests go always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing their services.
But ye renounced the holy one and the just, and desired a murderer to be granted you.
And he cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth; and while he cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
And after the tumult was ceased, Paul calling the disciples to him, and having taken his leave of them, departed to go into Macedonia.
Do ye look at the outward appearance of things? If any man be confident, that he is Christ's, let him again think this of himself, that as he is Christ's, so we also are Christ's.
But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which will devour the adversaries.
Should'st not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow-servant, as I had pity on thee?
And I took the little book out of the angel's hand and ate it up, and it was in my mouth sweet as honey, but when I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
And I saw the seven angels which stand before God, and seven trumpets were given them.
There they made him a supper, and Martha served; but Lazarus was one of them who sat at table with him.
The voice of one crying aloud in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
After these things were ended, Paul purposed in spirit, having passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must see Rome also.
And being in readiness to avenge all disobedience, now your obedience is fulfilled.
And going out, they fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: and they said nothing to any; for they were afraid.
But I must go on to day, and to morrow, and the day following; for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
And he went forth again by the sea-side, and all the multitude came to him, and he taught them.
And the centurion, who stood over-against him, seeing that having so cried he expired, said, Truly this man was the Son of God.
There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out.
And the next day, we departed and came to Cesarea; and entring into the house of Philip the Evangelist, who was one of the seven, we abode with him.
And going into the temple, he drove out them that sold and them that bought therein.
And this word, Yet once more, sheweth the removal of the things which are shaken, as being made, that the things which are not shaken may remain.
And going out, he followed him. And he knew not, that it was real which was done by the angel, but thought he saw a vision.
And the Lord said, Who is that faithful and wise steward, whom his Lord shall make ruler over his housoold, to give the allowance of food in due season?
Judas then having received a troop of soldiers, and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns, and torches, and arms.
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds, with power and great glory.
Behold your house is left to you desolate; and verily I say to you, Ye shall not see me, till the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
And departing thence, he went into their synagogue. And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand.
He saw plainly in a vision, about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of the Lord coming in to him, and saying to him, Cornelius.
named Agabus stood up, and signified by the Spirit, that there would be a great famine through all the world; which also came to pass under Claudius Cesar.
And I went to the angel, saying to him, Give me the little book. And he saith to me, Take and eat it up, and it will make thy belly bitter, but it will be sweet as honey in thy mouth.
And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
And I say to you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness, that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.
And when they held their peace, James answered, saying, Brethren, hearken to me.
And the voice which I heard from heaven spake with me again, and said, Go, take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel who standeth on the sea and on the earth.
And they told the things done in the way, and how he was known by them in the breaking of the bread.
and things strangled and fornication; from which keeping yourselves ye will do well. Fare ye well.
And he desired Philip to come up, and sit with him. The portion of scripture which he was reading, was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter, and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so he opened not his mouth.
By these three plagues were the third part of men killed, by the fire, and the smoke, and the brimstone which went out of their mouths.
And the seven angels, who had the seven trumpets, prepared themselves to sound.
And verily they of the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment (according to the law) to take tithes of the people, that is, of their brethren, tho' they come out of the loins of Abraham.
Then fourteen years after, I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus also with me.
And not only by his coming, but also by the comfort wherewith he was comforted over you, when he told us your earnest desire, your grief, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced the more.
For Herod himself had sent and apprehended John, and bound him in prison, for Herodias sake, his brother Philip's wife, for he had married her.
For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and, His office let another take.
I speak not, to condemn you; for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts, to live and to die with you.
And Jesus answering said to him, Seest thou these great buildings? There shall not be left one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down.
For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye were obedient in all things.
And the angel whom I saw standing upon the sea and upon the earth, lifted up his right hand toward heaven,
Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand,
And suddenly looking round, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.
And Zaccheus stood and said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have taken any thing from any man wrongfully, I restore him fourfold.
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh thro' dry places, seeking rest: and finding none, he saith, I will return to my house whence I came out.
Of the tribe of Judah were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand,
And he said to them, With desire have I desired to eat this passover with you, before I suffer.
Saying, There was in a certain city a judge who feared not God nor reverenced man.
And when it was day, he called to him his disciples, and chose twelve of them, whom also he named Apostles:
I will have mercy and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
For if he were on earth, he would not be a priest, there being priests that offer gifts, according to the law,
For David speaketh concerning him, I have seen the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right-hand, that I may not be moved.
Yea, if I should boast something more also of the authority which the Lord hath given us, for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:
So likewise when ye see all these things, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
But the Pharisees seeing it said to him, Behold thy disciples do what it is not lawful to do on the sabbath.
Little children, yet a little while I am with you: ye shall seek me, and as I said to the Jews, Whither I go ye cannot come, so now I say to you.
because of his word, And said to the woman, We no longer believe, because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.
And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance, for the remission of sins:
And none in heaven, or in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
And Jesus saith to them, Ye all will be offended at me this night; for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.
And Moses seeing it, wondered at the sight. But as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came to him, I am the God of thy fathers,
For ye are still carnal: for while there is among you emulation, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk according to man?
For this cause also the woman ought to have a veil upon her head, because of the angels.
going to the high priest, Desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, he might bring both men and women bound to Jerusalem.
And it was commanded them, not to hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only the men who have not the seal of God on their foreheads.
And Paul continued two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came to him,
And he spake a parable to them that were invited, when he marked how they chose the chief seats,
Then he spake this parable to the people: A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time.
Verily I say to you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall in no wise enter therein.
(It was that Mary, who anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick) Therefore his sisters sent to him,
And when he was alone, they that were about him, with the twelve, asked him of the parable.
I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Christ Jesus:
But they held their peace. And looking round upon them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth: and his hand was restored.
And after the reading of the law and the prophets, the chief of the synagogue sent to them, saying, Brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation to the people, speak.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.
And he went and beheaded him in the prison, And brought his head in a charger and gave it to the damsel, and the damsel gave it to her mother.
Lest if any of the Macedonians come with me, and find you unprepared, we (not to say, you) be ashamed of this confident boasting.
The disciple is not above his master, but every one that is perfected, shall be as his master.
because it was said by some, That John was risen from the dead; and by some that Elijah had appeared; by others, that one of the old prophets was risen again.
And looking stedfastly on him, and being affrighted, he said, What is it, Lord? And he said to him, Thy prayers and thy alms are come up for a memorial before God.
And the angel took the censer, and filled it with the fire of the altar, and threw it upon the earth, and there were thunderings, and lightnings, and voices, and an earthquake.
And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was ill of a fever, and they besought him for her.
Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings? Yet not one of them is forgotten before God.
And as Peter passed through all parts, he came down also to the saints that dwelt at Lydda.
But the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child; and children shall rise up against their parents, and kill them.
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance; and say not within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father; for I say to you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children to Abraham.
And I wept much, that none was found worthy to open the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith to me, Weep not;
And Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.
As he spake these things, a certain woman lifting up her voice out of the multitude said to him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked!
And when Jesus returned, the people gladly received him; for they were all waiting for him.
But the angel said to him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard, and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom; to whom be the glory for ever, and ever.
For the Saducees say, there is no resurrection, neither angel nor spirit; but the Pharisees confess both.
But a certain Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in honour by all the people, rising up in the council, ordered, to put the apostles out a little space:
And he said to them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while. For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
There were together Simon Peter and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
And there was in their synagogue a man heaving an unclean spirit, and he cried out, saying, Let us alone:
Then those men, having seen the miracle which Jesus did, said, Of a truth this is the prophet that was to come into the world.
And in the evening, when the sun was set, they brought to him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.
No man having lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they who come in may see the light.
And they come again to Jerusalem. And as he was walking in the temple, the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders come to him and say to him, By what authority dost thou these things?
By the hypocrisy of them that speak lies, having their own consciences seared as with an hot iron:
And he answering said to them, Go and tell John the things ye have seen and heard: the blind see; the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed; the deaf hear; the dead are raised; to the poor the gospel is preached.
So Peter was kept in the prison; but continual prayer was made to God by the church for him.
(Then were the days of unleavened bread.) Whom having apprehended, he put in prison, delivering him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him forth to the people after the passover.
And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre, And entering, they found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
And out of the smoke there went forth locusts upon the earth, and power was given them, as the scorpions of the earth have power:
For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody, to whom was joined a number of men, about four hundred, who was slain, and all who hearkened to him were scattered and came to nothing.
Wherefore he saith also in another Psalm, Thou wilt not suffer thy Holy one to see corruption.
And while he was blessing them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
And he taught, saying to them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations an house of prayer? But ye have made it a den of thieves.
To him the door-keeper openeth, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. It is hard for thee, to kick against the goads.
Then said he, To what is the kingdom of God like, and to what shall I resemble it?
And Peter seeing it, answered the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? Or, why do ye fix your eyes on us, as if by our own power or piety, we had made this man to walk?
And he said, To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to others in parables, so that seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not understand.
He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country, to receive for himself a kingdom and to return.
All which are to perish in the using) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
For this cause I have sent to you Timothy, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
And some of them believed, and were joined to Paul and Silas, and a great number of the devout Greeks, and not a few of the principal women.
And passing by, he saw Levi, the son of Alpheus sitting at the custom-house, and saith to him, Follow me.
And as they went through the cities, they gave them the decrees, which were determined by the apostles and elders that were at Jerusalem to keep.
The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed thus, God I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, rapacious, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
And as he reasoned concerning justice, temperance, and the judgment to come, Felix being terrified, answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.
But there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called that of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and Asia, disputing with Stephen.
Meditate on these things; be wholly in them, that thy profiting may appear in all things.
Wherefore my sentence is, That we trouble not them who from among the Gentiles turn to God.
This he said, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the purse, and bare what was put therein.
For every high priest is ordained to offer up gifts and sacrifices; whence it was necessary, that this also should have somewhat to offer.
And Paul earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God till this day.
The soldiers therefore, taking Paul, as it was commanded them, brought him by night to Antipatris.
Pilate hearing this saying, brought Jesus forth, and sat on the judgment seat, in a place called the Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha;
And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority dost thou these things? And who gave thee this authority?
and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt, and the parts of Africk about Cyrene, and Roman sojourners, (Jews and Proselytes) Cretans and Arabians,
Now therefore why endeavour ye to put a yoke on the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
Who saidst by the mouth of thy servant David, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?
And he was certain days with the disciples in Damascus: And straightway he preached Jesus in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.
For it seemeth to me unreasonable, to send a prisoner, and not to signify also the crimes alledged against him.
Wherefore ye testify against yourselves, that ye are the sons of them who killed the prophets.
And he took the cup and gave thanks and said, Take this and divide it among yourselves.
Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more: but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
And Nathanael saith to him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith to him, Come and see.
And Jesus answering, as he taught in the temple, said, How say the scribes, that Christ is the Son of David?
And shall not God vindicate his own elect, who cry to him day and night, though he bear long with them?
And he leaped and walked. But the multitude, seeing what Paul had done, lifted up their voice, saying, in the Lycaonian language, The gods are come down to us, in the likeness of men.
And while they were at supper (the devil having now put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon,
And the Pharisees and scribes murmured saying, This man receiveth sinners and eateth with them.
But when they shall hale you and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak; for it is not yet that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
And he spake a parable to them, saying,
Who entering into Cesarea, and delivering the letter to the governor, presented Paul also before him.
How he entered into the house of God, and ate the shew-bread, which it was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them who were with him, but only for the priests?
The day following, the multitude who had stood on the other side of the sea, because they saw there was no other vessel there, save that one into which his disciples went, and that Jesus went not into the vessel with his disciples, but that his disciples were gone away alone:
All these things spake Jesus to the multitude in parables, and without a parable spake he not unto them:
Two men went up into the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
But before all these things they shall lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my names sake.
All things are delivered to me of my Father; and no one knoweth who the Son is, but the Father, and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son is pleased to reveal him.
Yet the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands, as saith the prophet, Heaven is my throne, and earth my footstool.
Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children with her sons, worshiping him and desiring a certain thing of him.
Then came toward him his mother and his brethren, but could not come to him for the croud.
Verily, verily I say unto thee, when thou wast young, thou didst gird thyself, and walk whither thou wouldest: but when thou art old, thou shalt stretch out thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered up Isaac his son upon the altar?
Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, nor the woman without the man, in the Lord.
And immediately, while ye yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude, with swords and clubs, from the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders.
But he said, Yea, rather blessed are they, that hear the word of God and keep it.
Of the tribe of Asher were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Napthali were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Manasseh were sealed twelve thousand,
Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,
For he taught his disciples and said to them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men; and they will kill him, and after he hath been killed, he shall rise the third day.
Exhort servants to be obedient to their own masters, to please them in all things,
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest;
Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power over me, unless it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me to thee, hath the greater sin.
And because he raised him up from the dead, no more to return to corruption, he spake thus, I will give you the sure mercies of David.
The same day came the Saducees, who say there is no resurrection, and they asked him,
Salt is good: but if the salt have lost its savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
But it shall not be so among you; but whosoever desireth to be great among you, shall be your servant.
And Jesus answering said to him, Get thee hence, Satan; for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, Unless these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved.
Then he called for lights, and sprang in, and trembling, fell down before Paul and Silas.
named Nazareth, To a virgin of the house of David, espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, and the virgin's name was Mary.
So being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, they went down to Seleucia, and from thence sailed to Cyprus.
Then he said, I pray thee, therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
And because hereof it behoveth him, as for the people, so also for himself to offer for sins.
And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole: go in peace, and continue whole of thy plague.
Or have ye not read in the law, that on the sabbath-days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath and are blameless?
And he arose and came to his father: But while he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and his bowels yearned, and he ran, and fell on his neck and kissed him.
And he that had been dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapt about with a napkin. Jesus saith to them, Loose him, and let him go.
(As the Father knoweth me, and I know the Father) and I lay down my life for the sheep.
After this man rose up Judas of Galilee, in the days of the inrolment, and drew away much people after him; he also perished, and all who had hearkened to him were dispersed.
And sitting down, he called the twelve and saith to them, If any man desire to be first, let him be the last of all, and the servant of all.
And there was delivered to him the book of the prophet Isaiah, and having opened the book,
This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, to the end that they who have believed in God, be careful to excel in good works: these things are good and profitable to men.
And he spoke a parable to them, Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into a ditch?
And Jesus coming out saw a great multitude, and was moved with tender compassion for them; because they were as sheep having no shepherd, and he taught them many things.
What I tell you in darkness, speak ye in the light; and what ye hear in the ear, proclaim on the house-tops.
And Jesus standing still called them and said, What do ye desire that I should do to you?
A devout man, and fearing God with all his house, who gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not distinguishing the Lord's body.
Jesus saith to them, Have ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, is become the head of the corner? This is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes.
And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always the things that please him.
Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed, But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God,
And he spake the word to them. And they come to him, bringing a paralytic, borne of four.
For ye have the poor always with you, and when ye will, ye may do them good; but me ye have not always.
And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.
It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them, who told these things to the apostles.
For this is he of whom it is written, Behold I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee.
For kings and all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,
So they took the body of Jesus, and wrapped it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
And this is his commandment, that we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
And he said to him, Son, thou art always with me, and all that I have is thine.
And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and the whole world wondered after the wild beast, And worshiped the dragon,
Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord hath appointed ruler over his houshold, to give them food in due season?
And they shall come from the east and the west, and the north and the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
And he arose and followed him. And as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples; for there were many, and they followed him.
But go, tell his disciples, and Peter, He goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said to you.
His disciples hearing it, were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
And they will kill him, and the third day he shall rise again: and they were exceeding sorry.
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? Now ye are the temple of the living God, as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them, and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people.
And he said to them, Ye know it is unlawful for a Jew to join with or come to one of another nation; but God hath shewed me, to call no man common or unclean.
If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone?
Yea, I knew such a man (whether in the body or out of the body, I know not, God knoweth) That he was caught up into paradise,
Wherefore I say to thee, Those many sins of her's are forgiven; therefore she loved much: but he to whom little is forgiven, loveth little.
And having preached the gospel to that city, and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, and Iconium, and Antioch,
For we have found this man, a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:
It seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send to you chosen men,
But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is the Christ.
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake; but he that endureth to the end, he shall be saved.
they came to Pamphylia, And having preached the word in Perga,
And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said to them, Have ye here any meat?
And they all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?
And there went out to him all the land of Judea, and all they of Jerusalem, and were baptized of him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
Whereby was fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hid from the foundation of the world.
And Pilate asked him, Art thou the king of the Jews? And he answering said to him, Thou sayst it.
And there came one of the seven angels that had the seven phials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
He that believeth on the Son of God, hath the testimony in himself. He that believeth not God, hath made him a liar, because he believeth not the testimony which he hath testified of his Son.
Therefore be ye also ready; for the Son of man cometh in an hour when ye think not.
For we are fellow-labourers of God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
Beginning from the baptism of John, till the day that he was taken up from us, one must be ordained, to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
For to which of the angels did he ever say, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud, with power and great glory.
For what is a man profited, if he gain the whble world, and lose himself, or be cast away?
made known to all nations for the obedience of faith) To the only wise God, to him be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen!
And Jesus said, Go; thy faith hath saved thee. And immediately he received his sight, and followed him in the way.
And the Pharisees came forth and questioned with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.
And now behold the hand of the Lord is upon thee; and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately a mist and darkness fell upon him, and going about, he sought some to lead him.
and finding certain disciples, He said to them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost, since ye believed? And they said to him, Nay, we have not so much as heard, Whether there be any Holy Ghost.
Yea, you yourselves know, that these hands have ministred to my necessities, and to them that were with me.
But there came thither Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the multitude, and having stoned Paul, dragged him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.
And when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who speaking to them, persuaded them, to continue in the grace of God.
Verily, verily I say unto you, the servant is not greater than his Lord, neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
And verily the first covenant also had ordinances of worship and a worldly sanctuary.
Paul an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother, to the church of God that is in Corinth, with all the saints that are in all Achaia:
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginning of sorrows.
Simon Peter saith to him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me hereafter.
And the scribe said to him, Excellently well, Master! Thou hast said the truth: for He is one: and there is no other but he.
While he yet talked to the multitude, behold his mother and his brethren stood without, seeking to speak to him.
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold I make all things new. And he saith to me, Write: these sayings are faithful and true.
But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that through me the preaching might be fully known, even that all nations might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
And he opened the bottomless pit, and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit.
Therefore, my brethren, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my beloved.
And he was seen many days by them who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses to the people.
But Peter, having put them all out, kneeled down and prayed; and turning to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes, and seeing Peter, sat up.
And the angel answering, said to him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God, and am sent to speak to thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.
Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right-ear. The servant's name was Malchus.
And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely; for the children of this world are wiser in their generation than the children of light.
And he spake many things to them in parables, saying, Behold a sower went forth to sow.
And the jailor told these things to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace.
And when they had fulfilled all things that were written of him, taking him down from the tree, they laid him in a sepulchre.
Then said Jesus to them, Verily, verily I say unto you, Moses gave you not the bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
And he from within shall answer, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed: I cannot rise and give thee?
And as Peter was in the hall below, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest.
Then Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him,
The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear; the dead are raised, and the poor have the gospel preached to them: And happy is he, whosoever shall not be offended at me.
And I saw and behold a pale horse, and he that sat on him, his name was Death, (and Hades followeth even with him) and power was given him over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with the scimetar, and with famine, and with death, and by the beasts of the earth.
Therefore rejoice ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them: Wo to the earth and the sea; for the devil is come down to you, having great wrath; because he knoweth he hath but a little time.
And in those days the men shall seek death, but not find it; and shall desire to die, but death will flee from them.
Then they took away the stone from where the dead lay. And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said,
To these an odour of death unto death, but to those an odour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
Yet they abode a long time speaking boldly in the Lord, who bare witness to the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
And Jesus saith to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
my kinsmen, and my fellow-prisoners, who are in repute among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.
And the smoke of the incense came up before God out of the angels hand with the prayers of the saints.
But we going before into the ship, sailed to Assos, where we were to take up Paul; for so he had appointed, being himself to go on foot.
But some thought, as Judas had the purse, that Jesus had said to him, Buy what we have need of against the feast, or, Give something to the poor.
Or those eighteen, on whom the tower in Siloam fell and slew them, suppose ye, that they were sinners above all that dwelt at Jerusalem?
And Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, who ministered to him of their substance.
through Jesus Christ our Saviour, That, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs, according to the hope of eternal life.
Children, obey your parents in all things; for this is well-pleasing to the Lord.
Hereby is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, so are we in this world.
For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be rejected, being received with thanksgiving.
For the law maketh men high priests that have infirmity; but the word of the oath which was since the law, maketh the son, who is consecrated for evermore.
but raised to life by the spirit, By which likewise he went and preached to the spirits in prison,
