But he that wanteth these is blind, not able to see afar off, having forgotten the purification from his old sins.
When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled and all Jerusalem with him.

For as the Father raiseth and quickeneth the dead, so the Son also quickeneth whom he will.
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering (for he is faithful that hath promised) And let us consider one another,
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is also at the right-hand of God, who likewise maketh intercession for us.
When they heard these things, they were quiet, and glorified God, saying, Then God hath given to the Gentiles also repentance unto life.
And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.
But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to Salvation, thro' sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth.
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killest the prophets, and stonest them who are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a bird gathereth her young under her wings; and ye would not!
Therefore as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, whomsoever the Lord our God shall call.
And I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, Behold the tabernacle of God with men, and he will dwell with them; and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them and be their God.
And now, beloved children, abide in him, that when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
And as they were speaking to the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple,
And behold, thou shalt be deaf, and not able to speak, till the day that these things are done, because thou believedst not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.
And he causeth all, small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slaves, to receive a mark in their right-hand, or in their forehead,
Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether it be to the king as supreme, Or to governors,
I commend unto you Phebe our sister, who is a servant of the church in Cenchrea,
But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine, That the aged men be vigilant,
and praying, the heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily form, like a dove, upon him, and a voice came from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I delight.
Wherein were all four-footed creatures of the earth, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
At that time came the disciples to Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God hath done: sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, to be a sacrifice for sin, he hath condemned sin in the flesh:
Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us, thro' the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Only let your behaviour be worthy the gospel of Christ, that whether I come and see you, or be absent, I may hear concerning you, that ye stand fast, in one spirit, with one soul striving together for the faith of the gospel,
And said, Verily I say to you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven.
And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of the things that were written in the books, according to their works.
Being therefore exalted by the right-hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
Now there was at Joppa, a certain disciple, named Tabitha, which is by interpretation Dorcas; this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.
For from within, out of the heart of man proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
But take heed, lest by any means this your liberty become a stumbling-block to the weak.
And he arose and went thence into the borders of Tyre and Sidon. And entring into an house, he would have had no man know it; but he could not be hid.
In like manner, ye younger, submit yourselves to the elder, and be ye all subject to each other. Be ye cloathed with humility; for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write to you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write to you and exhort you, to contend earnestly for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.
They shall perish, but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father, with his angels; and then shall he render to every man according to his work.
Having purified your souls by obeying the truth thro' the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, love one another with a pure heart fervently:
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
But he that knew not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For to whomsoever much is given, of him much shall be required; and to whom they have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem, to ask him, Who art thou?
And the wild beast was taken, and with him the false prophet, who had wrought the miracles before him, with which he deceived them who had the mark of the wild beast, and them who had worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.
And make strait paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way, but let it rather be healed.
They that are after the flesh, mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
But Jesus seeing it was much displeased and said to them, Suffer little children to come to me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in the truth, as we received commandment from the Father.
For I am a man set under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth, and to another, Come, and he cometh, and to my servant, Do this, and he doth it.
But when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any, that your Father who is in heaven, may forgive you also your trespasses.
And Jesus sitting over-against the treasury, beheld how the people cast mony into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
And the people were waiting for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple.
Let such an one think this, that such as we are in word by letters, when we are absent, such are we also in deed, when we are present.
and Sosthenes a brother, To the church of God, which is in Corinth, to them that are sanctified through Christ Jesus, called and holy, with all that in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both theirs and ours:

And the apostles who were at Jerusalem, hearing that Samaria had received the word of God, sent to them Peter and John:
Giving thanks unto the Father, who hath made us meet to partake of the inheritance of the saints in light.
For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father, with the holy angels.
But let not fornication, or any uncleanness, or covetousness be even named among you, as becometh saints:
And having called to him his twelve disciples, he gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out and to heal every disease and every malady.
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise continually to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to his name.
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, through the knowledge of him.
But Thomas called Didymus, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments; and his commandments are not grievous.
Then went out to him Jerusalem and all Judea, and all the region round about Jordan,
Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go to such a city, and continue there a year, and traffick, and get gain:

And the Spirit bad me go with them, doubting nothing: these six brethren also went with me, and we entered into the man's house.
After this, Jesus knowing, that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
Nay, but by the law of faith. We conclude then, that a man is justified by faith, without the works of the law.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Therefore, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you also who are at Rome.
That we may be no longer children, fluctuating to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the slight of men, by cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive:
but his disciples) He left Judea, and departed again into Galilee.
Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote to me, It is good for a man, not to touch a woman.

Till we all come to the unity of the faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
And seeing the boldness of Peter and John, and understanding that they were illiterate and uneducated men, they marvelled, and took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
For with the heart man believeth to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.
And in the morning, rising a great while before day, he went out and departed into a desert place and prayed there.
For the kingdom of heaven is like an housholder, who went out early in the morning, to hire labourers into his vineyard.
But while he was thinking on these things, behold an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take to thee Mary thy wife; for that which is begotten in her, is of the Holy Ghost.
And Uzziah begat Jotham, and Jotham begat Ahaz, and Ahaz begat Hezekiah;
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more, in all knowledge and in all spiritual sense,
And to the beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellow-soldier, and the church which is in thy house:
And the apostles gather themselves together to Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not vain in the Lord.
For the law having a shadow of good things to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices which they offer year by year continually, make the comers thereunto perfect.
And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine ate: and no man gave to him.

And I saw no temple therein; for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
For the love of Christ constraineth us, while we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
And there came to him a leper beseeching him and kneeling down to him and saying to him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
Finally, Be ye all of one mind, sympathizing with each other, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
For every one that doth evil, hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Stand thou there, or, Sit thou here under my footstool, Ye distinguish not in yourselves, but are become evil-reasoning judges.
The young man saith to him, All these things have I kept from my childhood: what lack I yet?
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou despise thy brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment-seat of Christ.
Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there remember, that thy brother hath ought against thee,
I am therefore willing to remind you, who once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh often upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them for whom it is tilled, receiveth blessing from God.
John baptized in the wilderness and preached the baptism of repentance, for the remission of sins.
Therefore as we have opportunity, let us do good unto all men; but especially to them who are of the houshold of faith.
But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world is crucified to me, and I unto the world.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but faith which worketh by love.
And the peace of God shall rule in your hearts, to which also ye are called in one body: and be ye thankful.
My beloved children, let us love not in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
Destroying reasonings, and every high thing which exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye abstain from fornication;
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily I say unto you, he that practiseth sin, is the slave of sin:
From that time Jesus began to shew his disciples, That he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
For which cause also I suffer these things: yet I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have trusted, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed to him, until that day.
Happy is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep the things which are written therein: for the time is near.
And now abide these three, faith, hope, love; but the greatest of these is love.
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more being reconciled, we shall be saved through his life.
Now to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace:
But at midnight Paul and Silas having prayed, sung an hymn to God: and the prisoners heard them.
and will set it up, That the residue of men may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles on whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doth these things.
What shall we say then? That the law is sin? God forbid. Yea, I should not have known sin, but for the law. I had not known lust, unless the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
Teaching us, that, having renounced ungodliness and all wordly desires, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present world,
Whosoever putteth away his wife and marrieth another, committeth adultery; and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband, committeth adultery.
And I heard another voice out of heaven, saying, Come out of her my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Having hope in God, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and of the unjust, which they themselves also expect.
Jesus having spoken these words, went forth with his disciples over the brook Kedron, where was a garden, into which he entered and his disciples.
Jesus seeing him lie, and knowing that he had now been diseased a long time, saith to him, Desirest thou to be made whole?
If any man be willing to do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
And yet ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh to you as to sons, My son, despise not thou the chastning of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him.
And going a little farther, he fell on his face and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; yet not as I will, but as thou wilt.
but he that is born of God keepeth himself, and the wicked one toucheth him not. We know, that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in the wicked one.
that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not imputing their traspasses to them, and hath committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Here is the wisdom. Let him that hath an understanding count the number of the wild beast: for it is the number of a man: and his number is six hundred sixty six.
For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, even because when ye received the word of God from us, ye received it, not as the word of men, but (as it is in truth) the word of God, who likewise effectually worketh in you that believe.
And when the days of purification were fulfilled according to the law of Moses, they brought him up to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord:
whether he were not the Christ, John answered saying to them all, I indeed baptize you with water, but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
Happy are they who are persecuted for righteousness sake; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
For to this end was the gospel preached to them that are dead also, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the Spirit.
Because I love you not? God knoweth. But what I do, I will do, that I may cut off the occasion from them who desire occasion, that wherein they boast, they may be found even as we.
And he said to them, Verily I say unto you, there are some of them that stand here, who shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God coming with power.
And Philip said, If thou believest with all thy heart, thou mayst. And he answering said, I believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
Let us be glad and rejoice and give the glory to him; for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease, and all manner of malady among the people.
But Christ being come, an high-priest of good things to come, through a greater and more perfect tabernacle,
Then saith he to his disciples, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few.
And the publican standing afar off, would not so much as lift up his eyes to heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
And I will give thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
So that we ourselves glory of you in the churches of God, for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and sufferings which ye endure:
Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that is a doer of good is of God, but he that is a doer of evil, hath not seen God.
And when they were gone back, behold an angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and continue there till I shall tell thee; for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
family in heaven and earth is named) That he would give you according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man, That Christ may dwell in your heart by faith:
Abide ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love, even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
They went out from us, but they were not of us: for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest, that they were not all of us.
That ye may try the things that are excellent, that ye may be sincere and without offence unto the day of Christ,
the Father from whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
But we know that the Son of God is come; and he hath given us an understanding that we may know the true one; and we are in the true one, even in his Son Jesus Christ; this is the true God and eternal life.

Now there is in Jerusalem, by the sheep-gate, a bath, which is called in the Hebrew tongue, Bethesda, having five porticos.
But as he who hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation:
For I do not repent that I grieved you by the letter, though I did repent: (for I see that letter grieved you, though but for a season.)
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, on the feast day, many believed in his name, beholding the miracles which he did.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hid in a field, which a man having found hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation, which began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by them that had heard him?
And he called them; and immediately leaving their father Zebedee in the vessel with the hired servants, they went after him.
For this cause I Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, (Seeing ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God,
Until the day he was taken up, after having thro' the Holy Ghost given commandment to the apostles, whom he had chosen:
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood which is shed for you.
having forgiven you all trespasses, Having blotted out by his decrees the hand-writing against us, which was contrary to us; and having nailed it to his cross, he took it out of the way.
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle be dissolved, we have a building from God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
And they sailed to the country of the Gadarenes, which is over-against Galilee.
All these died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and embraced them, and confest that they were strangers and sojourners on the earth.
Know ye not, that to whom ye present yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are whom ye obey? Whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the apostle and high-priest of our profession,
Therefore laying aside all the filthiness and superfluity of wickedness, receive with meekness the ingrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
for it is written, Cursed is every one who continueth not in all the things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.
For sin shall not have dominion over you; for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
And a great sign was seen in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.
being subject to their own husbands, As Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose children ye are while ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.
From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

If we say we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not the truth.
But I would have you know, that the head of the woman is the man, and the head of every man is Christ, and the head of Christ is God.
Who know not what shall be on the morrow; for what is your life? It is a vapour that appeareth for a little time and then vanisheth away:
I have manifested thy name to the men whom thou hast given me out of the world. Thine they were, and thou hast given them me, and they have kept thy word.
And Azor begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Achim, and Achim begat Eliud;
And when ye see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature above the creator, who is blessed for ever!
And lest I should be lifted up with the abundance of the revelations, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan, to buffet me, lest I should be lifted up.
But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned, and been fully assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them,
I indeed have baptized you with water; but he will baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
And taking their journey through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews.
And he shewed me a river of the water of life clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil-speaking be put away from you with all malice.
And Jesus going out of the temple departed: and his disciples came to him, to shew him the buildings of the temple.
Neither shall they say, Lo here, or lo there; for behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
And Jesus answering, spake to them again in parables, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like a king,
I do not pray, that thou wouldest take them out of the world, but that thou wouldest keep them from the evil one.
And the word of God grew, and the number of disciples was multiplied in Jerusalem greatly: and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, (according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began,
Which he wrought in Christ, raising him from the dead; and he hath made him sit at his own right-hand in heavenly places,
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathens; for they think they shall be heard for their much speaking.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath freed me from the law of sin and death.
Brethren, the desire of my heart, and my prayer to God for Israel is, that they may be saved.
Pilate said to him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest. I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I might bear witness to the truth.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again, which are the first principles of the oracles of God, and are become such as have need of milk and not of strong meat.
A bishop therefore must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, prudent, of good behaviour, hospitable, apt to teach;
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is imputed to him for righteousness.
That at the name of Jesus every knee might bow, of those in heaven, and those on earth, and those under the earth:
they shall speak with new tongues: They shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them: they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
And the angel coming in to her, said, Hail, thou highly favoured; the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting: for he that doubteth is like a wave of the sea, driven with the wind and tossed.
Forget not to entertain strangers, for hereby some have entertained angels unawares.
By faith Abraham, being called to go out into the place which he was to receive for an inheritance, obeyed and went out, not knowing whither he went.
Wherein ye greatly rejoice, tho' now for a little while (if need be) ye are in heaviness thro' manifold temptations.
Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep, our Lord Jesus, by the blood of the everlasting covenant,
But the Pharisees having heard, that he had silenced the Saducees, were gathered together.
And all that dwell upon the earth will worship him, whose name is not written in the book of life of the Lamb, who was slain, from the foundation of the world.
Then they returned to Jerusalem from the Mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath-day's journey.
John answered them, saying, I baptize with water, but there standeth one among you whom ye know not.
But ye are come to mount Sion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem,
Which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it hath now been revealed to the holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit,
And he went out from thence and came into his own country, and his disciples follow him.
Therefore let us keep the feast; not with the old leaven, nor with the leaven of wickedness and malignity, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
by what means he is healed, Be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God hath raised from the dead, by him doth this man stand before you whole.
Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore being wearied with the journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
Nevertheless we look for new heavens and a new earth, according to his promise, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Having predestinated us to the adoption of sons to himself by Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will,
For verily I say to you, Whosoever shall say to this mountain, Be thou removed and cast into the sea, and not doubt in his heart, but believe that the things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Having therefore, beloved, these promises, let us cleanse ourselves from all pollution of the flesh and of the spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
But he being full of the Holy Ghost, looking up stedfastly to heaven, saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right-hand of God:
And straightway leaving their nets, they followed him. And having gone thence a little farther,
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee, from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon the whole world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the son of man.
And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh Jerusalem, and because they thought the kingdom of God would immediately appear.
And Paul, according to his custom, went in to them, and three sabbath-days discoursed with them from the scriptures,
Happy are ye when men shall revile and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake.
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any have a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
And as they continued asking him, he raised himself and said to them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
I say then, Hath God rejected his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
What shall we say then? That our father Abraham hath found according to the flesh?
And many signs and wonders were wrought among the people by the hands of the apostles: (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's portico:
Then he said to them, O foolish, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
Indeed even this is altogether a fault among you, that ye have contests with each other. Why do ye not rather suffer wrong?
And now we see by means of a glass obscurely; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then I shall know even as also I am known.
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die; but if ye through the Spirit mortify the deeds of the flesh, ye shall live.
And as they were not careful to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them up to an undiscerning mind, to do things not expedient, Filled with all injustice, maliciousness, covetousness, wickedness:
Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
And the Pharisees came to him, tempting him and saying, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
Therefore we are embassadors for Christ, as though God were intreating by us: we beseech you, in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
For he received honour and glory from God the Father, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I delight.
At that time Jesus went on the sabbath thro' the corn, and his disciples were hungry, and plucked the ears of corn and ate.
But where are the nine? There are not found to give glory to God, save this stranger.
After this I saw, and behold a door opened in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, as of a trumpet talking with me, said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
But one thing I do, forgetting the things that are behind, and reaching forth unto the things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
And not only they, but even we ourselves, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.
But a certain man, named Simon, had been before in the city, using magic, and astonishing the Samaritans, saying, that he was some great one.
And his disciples remembered that it is written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
Wherefore take to you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
And he that liveth and was dead, and behold I am alive for evermore, and have the keys of death and of Hades.
But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
But I say to you, That every idle word which men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
For I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
And the Pharisees coming asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife?
And I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake, and the sun was black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon was as blood;
He that saith, he abideth in him, ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
Now they who had been scattered abroad by the distress which arose about Stephen, travelled as far as Phenicia, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching to none but Jews only.
And he saith to them, Whosoever shall put away his wife and marry another, committeth adultery against her.
And while they were praying, the place in which they were assembled was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and spake the word of God with boldness.
Verily, verily I say to thee, we speak what we know, and testify what we have seen; yet ye receive not our testimony.
And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject to us thro' thy name.
And he came down to Derbe and Lystra. And behold a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a certain Jewess that believed; but his father was a Greek:
Then Peter answered, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, who have received the Holy Ghost, even as we?
And the beggar died and was carried by angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died and was buried:
Who thro' him believe in God, that raised him from the dead, and gave him glory, that your faith and hope, might be in God.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest to your souls.
And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharoah king of Egypt, and he made him governor over Egypt, and all his house.
And after two days was the feast of the passover and of unleavened bread; and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might apprehend him by subtlety, and put him to death.
And when eight days were fulfilled, to circumcise the child, his name was called Jesus, which was named of the angel, before he was conceived in the womb.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God, and not of us.
If ye fulfil the royal law (according to the Scripture) Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well.
And James and John the sons of Zebedee come to him, saying, Master, we would that thou shouldest do for us what we shall ask.
God forbid: let God be true, and every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
And in that day ye shall not question me about any thing. Verily, verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give you.
Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall to the ground without your Father.
Verily, verily I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that hear shall live.
Let your women be silent in the churches; for it is not permitted them to speak, but to be in subjection, as the law also saith.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits,
Behold I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee.
And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishers.
But take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overloaded with gluttony, and drunkenness, and the cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
Now the apostles and brethren who were in Judea heard, that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.
And ye masters, do the same things to them, forbearing threatning, knowing that your master is in heaven, and there is no respect of persons with him.
Then spake Jesus to the multitudes and to his disciples, saying, The scribes and Pharisees sit in the chair of Moses:
And she brought forth her son, the first-born, and swathed him, and laid him in the manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
Examine yourselves, whether ye are in the faith: prove yourselves. Do ye not know yourselves? That Jesus Christ is in you? unless ye are reprobates.
Then Jesus saith to him, Get thee hence, Satan; for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
And they said, Nothing. Then said he to them, But now he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip; and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one.
For of him, and through him, and to him are all things: to him be glory for ever! Amen.
Moreover, brethren, we declare to you the grace of God, bestowed on the churches in Macedonia,
But love ye your enemies, and do good and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be sons of the Highest; for he is kind to the unthankful and the evil.
These twelve Jesus sent forth, having commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into a city of the Samaritans enter not:
So reckon ye also yourselves to be dead to sin, and alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Him hath God exalted, a Prince and a Saviour with his right-hand, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death, as it was not possible that he should be held under it.
Wherefore I also, since I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love to all saints,
not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus, before the world began;
A manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be accounted, worthy of the kingdom of God; for which also ye suffer.
But I will endeavour, that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.
So Christ also, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, will appear the second time, without sin, to them that look for him, unto salvation.
Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole families, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of filthy gain.
Therefore we who are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law) that the law hath dominion over a man, as long as it liveth?
Jesus therefore seeing his mother, and the disciple standing by whom he loved, saith to his mother, Woman, behold thy son.
For we know that the whole creation groaneth together and travaileth together until now.
For other foundation can no man lay, than what is laid, which is Jesus Christ: And if any one build on this foundation, gold, silver, costly stones;
But the Lord said unto him, Go: for he is a chosen vessel to me, to bear my name before nations and kings, and the children of Israel.
But God hath revealed them to us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, even the deep things of God.
For ye are not come to the mountain that could be touched, and the burning fire,
By their fruits ye shall know them. Do men gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?
But Peter and John answering, said to them, Whether it be righteous in the sight of God, to obey you rather than God, judge ye.
For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost and to us, that no further burden be laid upon you than these necessary things, To abstain from meats offered to idols and blood,
And so all Israel shall be saved, as it is written, The deliverer shall come out of Sion, and shall turn away iniquity from Jacob.
Beloved, thou dost faithfully whatsoever thou dost to the brethren and to strangers,
And now I beseech thee, Kuria, (not as writing a new commandment to thee, but that which we had from the beginning) that we may love one another.
For all that is in the world, the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eye, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother sin against thee, rebuke him, and if he repent, forgive him.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed abideth in him, and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Mind not high, but condescend to low things. Be not wise in your own conceit. Render to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
Now when he had ended all his sayings in the hearing of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
And he being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at table, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment, of spikenard, very costly; and shaking the box, she poured it on his head.
And this is the will of him that sent me, That of all which he hath given me, I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.
And behold there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and religious, waiting for the Consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
And here men that die receive tithes: but there, he of whom it is witnessed, that he liveth.
For we presume not to equal or to compare ourselves with some of those who recommend themselves: but they among themselves limiting themselves, and comparing themselves with themselves, are not wise.
And having set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?
Remember them that had the rule over you, who spake to you the word of God, whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
Even as they who were eye-witnesses and ministers of the word from the beginning, delivered them to us:
When it was evening, they brought to him many demoniacs; and he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all that were ill:
As therefore by one offence the sentence of death came upon all men to condemnation, so also by one righteousness the free gift came upon all men to justification of life.
Yet emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.
By which will we are sanctified, through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
To the angel of the church at Ephesus write, These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right-hand, that walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks.
His lord answering said to him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather whence I had not scattered?
Hereby is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit: so shall ye be my disciples.
Now a certain Jew, Apollos by name, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
Say ye not, There are yet four months, and the harvest cometh? Lo, I say to you, Lift up your eyes, and survey the fields, for they are white already to harvest.
And as Jesus passed along from thence, he saw a man named Matthew, sitting at the receit of custom, and saith to him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.
Now to the king of eternity, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honour and glory for ever and ever, Amen.
Therefore, brethren, look out from among you seven men of good report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we will set over this business.
And when he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, Come.
And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one who seeth the Son, and believeth on him, should have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
And they coming say to him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man; for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to give tribute to Cesar, or not?
Who are kept by the power of God thro' faith unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time.
Wherefore laying aside all wickedness, and all guile, and dissimulation, and envies,
And when Jesus was passed over again by boat to the other side, much people was gathered to him, and he was near the sea.
Are they not all ministring spirits, sent forth to serve for them who shall inherit salvation?
Flee also youthful desires; but follow after righteousness, faith, love, peace with them that call upon the Lord, out of a pure heart.
And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment as ye have heard from the beginning, that ye may walk in it.
And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith to him, Master, see what manner of stones, and what manner of buildings!
And a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any one worship the wild beast and his image, and receive his mark on his forehead or on his head,
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name, and in thy name have cast out devils, and in thy name have done many wonderful works?
Believest thou not, that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not of myself; and the Father that dwelleth in me, he doth the works.
He answering said to them, Well hath Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.
And he calleth to him the twelve, and sent them forth by two and two, and gave them power over unclean spirits;
The eyes of your understanding being inlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
Therefore Jesus said to them again, Verily, verily I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
Of the tribe of Zebulon were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.
Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
For Moses truly said to the fathers, The Lord your God shall raise you up a prophet of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things, whatsoever he shall say to you.
Who have testified of thy love before the church; whom if thou send forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well.
He that is faithful in the least, is faithful also in much; and he that is unjust in the least, is unjust also in much.
And I knew him not, but that he might be manifested to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even to the west, so shall also the coming of the son of man be.
But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own family, he hath denied the faith and is worse than an infidel.
And when the thousand years are fulfilled, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
Mine hour is not yet come. His mother saith to the servants, Whatsoever he saith to you, do.
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doth, is without the body; but he that committeth fornication, sinneth against his own body.
One man esteemeth one day above another; another esteemeth every day alike; let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that which endureth to everlasting life, which the Son of man will give you; for him hath God the Father sealed.
And coming up from the water, straitway he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him.
But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and forthwith there came out blood and water.
For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
And Peter said to her, Tell me, if ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
Jesus wrought this beginning of miracles in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory, and his disciples believed on him.
Wherefore the law was our school-master unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
And do this, knowing the season, that it is high time now to awake out of sleep; for salvation is nearer to us now, then when we first believed.
So that my bonds in Christ have been made manifest in the whole palace, and to all others:
But I say unto you, whosoever shall put away his wife, save for the cause of whoredom, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away, committeth adultery.
For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not passionate, not given to wine, no striker, not desirous of filthy gain:
But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand) then let them that are in Judea flee to the mountains:
Give not that which is holy to dogs, neither cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turning, rend you.
Jesus saith to him, Because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: happy are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
As also in all his epistles, speaking therein of these things, in which are some things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.
Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially those who labour in the word and teaching.
For though I am free from all men, I made myself the servant of all, that I might gain the more.
It is not therefore of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
Therefore they that were scattered abroad, went every where, preaching the word.
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you, thro' the knowledge of God, and of Jesus, our Lord;
Charge the rich in this world not to be high-minded, neither to trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy:
Jesus answered and said to him, Art thou a teacher of Israel, and knowest not these things?
And I saw and behold a Lamb standing on mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty-four thousand, having his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads.
And departing from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia; and going into the synagogue on the sabbath-day, they sat down.
For Christ did not enter into the holy place made with hands, the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.
For it became him for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the captain of their salvation through sufferings.
persecuting the church, touching the righteousness, which is by the law, blameless.
And as he was praying apart, his Disciples were with him. And he asked them saying, whom say the people that I am?
And on the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the Passover, his disciples say to him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare, that thou mayst eat the passover?
And above all things, have fervent love to each other; for love will cover a multitude of sins.
She saith, No man, Sir. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee. Go, and sin no more.
And Eliud begat Eleazar, and Eleazar begat Matthan, and Matthan begat Jacob;
For he whom God hath sent, speaketh the words of God; for God giveth not him the Spirit by measure.
Watch ye therefore and pray always, that ye may be counted worthy to escape all these things which will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
And to you that are afflicted rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his mighty angels,
Art thou greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and himself drank thereof, and his children, and his cattle?
For I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me.
For if through one man's offence death reigned by one, they who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness, shall much more reign in life, by one, even Jesus Christ.
And straightway in the morning the chief priests consulted with the elders and scribes, and the whole council, and having bound Jesus, carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.
Yet in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject to you; but rather rejoice, that your names are written in heaven. In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
By whom also ye are circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ:
Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened; for our passover is slain for us, even Christ:
Who is that liar, but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is Antichrist who denieth the Father and the Son.
But exhort one another daily, while it is called to day, lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin:
And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, who followeth not us, and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
And again, When he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other, or he will cleave to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and Mammon.
And he arose and cometh thence into the coasts of Judea, thro' the country beyond Jordan: and the multitudes resort to him again, and as he was wont, he taught them again.
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, yea, the death of the cross.
And he said to his disciples, Therefore I say to you, Take no thought for your life what ye shall eat, neither for the body what ye shall put on.
Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again.
To him that loved us, and hath washed us from our sins with his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto his God and Father, to him be the glory and the might for ever.
The law and the Prophets were until John: from that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man forceth into it.
And by him to reconcile all things to himself (having made peace by him, through the blood of the cross) whether things on earth, or things in heaven.
Who in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and supplications, with strong crying and tears, unto him that was able to save him from death, and being heard from his fears; Tho' he was a son,
But seeing the multitudes he was moved with tender compassion for them, because they were faint and scattered, as sheep having no shepherd.
Take not therefore thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for itself: sufficient for the day is the evil thereof.
And we trust in the Lord concerning you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
But whoso looketh diligently into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and continueth therein, this man being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the word, this man shall be happy in his doing.
And he went thro' the corn-fields on the sabbath day: and his disciples as they went, plucked the ears of corn.
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any should teach you, save as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie; and as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in them.
And his disciples went, and came into the city, and found as he had said to them. And they made ready the passover.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith;
And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning in fear:
And I saw another wild beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb, but he spake like a dragon;
For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good, I find not.
And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon him.
Then cometh Jesus with them to a place called Gethsemane, and saith to the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
Ye desire and have not, ye kill, and envy, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war; yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
For this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord: I will put my laws in their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people.
He answered and said, A man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes, and said to me, Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.
But now through Christ Jesus, ye who were once far off are brought nigh by the blood of Christ.
And I, brethren, could not speak to you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, as unto babes in Christ.
If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great matter, if we shall reap your carnal things?
But I fear lest as the serpent deceived Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from simplicity toward Christ.
For when we were with you we told you before, we should be afflicted; as it came to pass, and ye know.
For he is not a Jew, who is one in outward shew, neither is that circumcision which is apparent in the flesh.
Ye worship ye know not what; we know what we worship; for salvation is from the Jews.
And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom, and said to him, Follow me.
Wherefore it behoved him to be made in all things like his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high-priest, in things pertaining to God, to expiate the sins of the people.
And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground,
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to inlighten us with the knowledge of the glory of God, in the face of Jesus Christ.
But if they have not power over themselves, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn.
Then said he to the disciples, It is impossible but offences will come; but wo to him through whom they come.
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing; but the flesh is weak.
a man of Macedonia stood and intreated him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.
And after this I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds, that the wind should not blow upon the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
From these also turn away. For of these are they who creep into houses, and captivate silly women laden with sins, led away by various desires,
They say to him, Cesar's. Then said he to them, Render therefore to Cesar the things that are Cesar's, and to God the things that are God's.
I say to you, Thus joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, who do not need repentance.
All things are lawful for me; but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me; but I will not be brought under the power of any.
Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands, and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side, and be not faithless, but believing.
And out of his fulness have we all received, even grace upon grace. For the law was given by Moses,
For that which I do I approve not; for what I would, I do not, but what I hate, that I do.
Father, I will that these also whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me; for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
For when the Gentiles, who have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these not having the law, are a law to themselves;
After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him.
which, if they were to be written particularly, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that were written.
Not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers, in the day when I took them by the hand, to lead them out of the land of Egypt, because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
Men and brethren, I may say to you freely of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is among us to this day.
And they come to Jerusalem. And Jesus going into the temple, drove out them that bought and sold in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the mony-changers,
If any one be ever so religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
And I heard a great voice saying from heaven to them, Come up hither. And they went up to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies beheld them.
And it was known to all that dwell at Jerusalem, so that that field is called, in their own tongue, Akeldama, that is, The field of blood.
But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is liable to eternal damnation:
And lo a voice out of the heavens, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I delight.
in the desires of the flesh, doing the will of the flesh and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the others.
The day following he was minded to depart into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith to him, Follow me.
Search and see, that out of Galilee ariseth no prophet. And every man went to his own house.
And he said to them, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
Then Jesus looking upon him, loved him, and said to him, One thing thou lackest: Go, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me, taking up thy cross.
This is the seducer and the antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not the things we have wrought, but receive a full reward.
And he arose and stood forth. Then said Jesus to them, I will ask you, Which is lawful on the sabbath, To do good, or to do evil?
And as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
And he entered again into the synagogue: and there was a man there who had a withered hand.
There is none good save one, that is God. Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery. Do not murder, Do not steal. Do not bear false witness. Honour thy father and thy mother.
By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right-hand and the left:
Verily I say to you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth, shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth, shall be loosed in heaven.
Be it known unto you therefore, that through this man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins.
On the morrow, as they journeyed and drew nigh to the city, Peter went up on the house-top, to pray, about the sixth hour.
And he said to them in parables, A man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a wine-fat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.
For neither did I receive it from man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears; we would therefore know, what these things mean?
Therefore let not sin reign in your mortal body, to obey it in the desires thereof.
(Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet,
By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith in all nations for his name, Among whom are ye also, the called of Jesus Christ:
And I say to you, whosoever shall put away his wife, except for whoredom, and marry another, committeth adultery, and whoso marrieth her that is put away, committeth adultery.
And on a certain day he went into a vessel with his disciples: and he said to them, Let us go over to the other side of the lake. And they put to sea.
And in hell lifting up his eyes, being in torments, he seeth Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom.
And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride, adorned for her husband.
That none circumvent or defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger of all these things, as we have also told you before and testified.
And as they led him away, they laid hold on one Simon a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.
And when they were come to the place, called the place of a scull, there they crucified him, and the two malefactors, one on the right-hand, and one on the left.
For he shall be great before the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.
I have spoken these things to you, that my joy might remain in you, and your joy might be full.
Then the Pharisees went out, and took counsel against him, how they might kill him.
And Jesus went into the temple, and cast out all that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the mony-changers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
For they that sleep, sleep in the night, and they that are drunken are drunken in the night.
And by him every one that believeth is justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
But when his brethren were gone up, then he also went up to the feast, not openly, but as it were privately.
Then said the Jews to him that was healed, It is the sabbath; it is not lawful for thee to take up the bed.
Look not every one at his own things, but every one also at the things of others.
And to the angel of the church of Philadelphia write, These things saith the Holy, the True One, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and none shutteth, and shutteth and none openeth.
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the throwing down of strong-holds.)
And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
But the end of all things is at hand; be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
And we being with him in the holy mountain, heard this voice coming from heaven:
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day; the night is coming, when no man can work.
His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things; I will set thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Wherefore if I come I will remember his wicked deeds which he doth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.
I tell you he will vindicate them speedily. Yet when the Son of man cometh, will he find faith upon earth?
I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful; but ye lacked opportunity.
For if any one see thee, who hast knowledge, sitting at meat in an idol-temple, will not the conscience of him that is weak be encouraged to eat of the things sacrificed to the idol?
who are beloved of God, called and holy, Grace to you, and peace from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Now because it was the preparation, lest the bodies should remain upon the cross on the sabbath (for that sabbath was a great day) the Jews besought Pilate, that their legs might be broken, and they might be taken away.
Therefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us hold fast the grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and godly fear.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of my God.
Whose are the fathers, and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is, over all, God, blessed for ever.
Happy and holy is he that hath a part in the first resurrection: over these the second death hath no power; but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
And having spoiled the principalities and powers, he exposed them openly, triumphing over them in him.
And there appeared to them distinct tongues, as of fire; and it sat upon each of them.
Thus he spake, and after that he saith to them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go to awake him.
And one of the malefactors, who were hanging on the cross, reviled him, saying, If thou be the Christ, save thyself and us.
I Jesus have sent my angel to testify to you, to the churches, these things. I am the root and the off-spring of David, the bright, the morning-star. And the spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come.
And ye became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost.
But I say unto you, that ye resist not the evil man: but whosoever shall smite thee on the right-cheek, turn to him the other also;
Ye ask and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may expend it on your pleasures.
he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, who were also in the vessel, mending their nets:
And the Pharisees seeing it, said to his disciples, Why eateth your master with publicans and sinners?
Wherefore I say to you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven to men; but the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven to men.
It is commonly reported, that there is fornication among you, and such fornication, as is not even named among the heathens, that one should have his father's wife.
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man.
Let a man so account us, as servants of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
Men, brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost spake before by the mouth of David, concerning Judas, who was guide to them that took Jesus.
As I exhorted thee when I was going into Macedonia, abide at Ephesus; that thou mayest charge some to teach no other doctrine, Neither to give heed to fables and endless genealogies,
Take heed, brethren, left there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God:
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar; for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God, whom he hath not seen?
And for this end he is the Mediator of a new covenant, that by means of death for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they who are called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
But one will say, Thou hast faith, and I have works. Shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
And after certain days Paul said to Barnabas, Let us go again and visit the brethren in every city, where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. I no longer call you servants,
Paul an apostle (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father,
When they were filled, he saith to his disciples, Gather up the fragments which remain, that nothing be lost.
See that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say to you, that in heaven their angels continually behold the face of my Father who is in heaven.
And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to thee: take away this cup from me: yet not what I will, but what thou wilt.
And they come to a place named Gethsemane; and he saith to his disciples, Sit here while I shall pray.
My Father, who gave them me, is greater than all; and none shall pluck them out of my Father's hand.
And he cometh to Bethsaida. And they bring to him a blind man, and beseech him to touch him.
And we are witnesses of these things, and also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
To the clean all things are clean; but to the defiled and unbelieving nothing is clean; but both their understanding and conscience are defiled.
And they brought to him infants also, that he might touch them; but the disciples seeing it, rebuked them.
Let us draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Moreover, when ye fast, be not as the hypocrites of a sad countenance; for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast: verily I say unto you, they have their reward.
Simon hath declared, how God at first visited the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how would ye believe, if I told you heavenly things?
He that heareth you, heareth me; and he that rejecteth you, rejecteth me; and he that rejecteth me, rejecteth him that sent me.
And on a certain day as he was teaching, there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, who were come out of every town of Galilee, and out of Judea and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected in one; and that the world may know, that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them as thou hast loved me.
For whom the Lord loveth, he chastneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went forth to make war with the rest of her seed who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus.
And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
And one of them that sat at table with him, hearing these things, said to him, Happy is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.
But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up together unto the faith which was to be revealed.
But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
Therefore take not thought, saying, What shall we eat, or what shall we drink, or what shall we wear?
Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil,
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that we may know the things which are freely given to us of God.
For as by the disobedience of one man, many were constituted sinners, so by the obedience of one, many shall be constituted righteous.
And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle and reap; for the time to reap is come; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
Now thanks be to God, who causeth us always to triumph through Christ, and manifesteth by us in every place the odour of his knowledge.
And when they heard it, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art the God who madest heaven and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
But I trust to see thee shortly, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Salute the friends by name.
And that servant who knew his Lord's will, and prepared not, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist, And he is the head of his body the church;
And many of the brethren trusting in the Lord through my bonds, are more abundantly bold to speak the word without fear.
And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead: and he laid his right-hand upon me, saying, Fear not, I am the First and the Last,
That they might seek God, if haply they might feel after him and find him, though he be not far from every one of us.
And the saying pleased the whole multitude; and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith, and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte of Antioch:
Ye brood of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher: she was of a great age, having lived with an husband seven years from her virginity.
Verily I say to you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
There were also women, beholding from afar, among whom was Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James the less, and of Joses, and Salome:
And account the long-suffering of our Lord salvation, as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given him, hath written to you:
Jesus saith to him, If thou desirest to be perfect, go, sell what thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.
Concerning the collection for the saints, as I have ordered the churches of Galatia, so also do ye.
And whosoever shall offend one of the little ones that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the desires thereof.
For do I now satisfy men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
But he that practiseth the truth, cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest that they are wrought in God.
And they took Jesus and led him away. And he bearing his cross, went forth to the place, called the place of a skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha:
And ye will hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled; for all these things must come to pass: but the end is not yet.
For I am in a strait between two, having a desire to depart and to be with Christ, for it is far better.
And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he was talking to us in the way, and opening the scriptures to us?
We know, that we are passed from death to life, because we love the brethren: he that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
And so it is written, The first Adam was made a living soul, the last Adam is a quickening Spirit.
For of a truth, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed,
But Peter said, In no wise, Lord: for I have never eaten any thing common or unclean.
Seeing then Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind:
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
And they send to him certain of the Pharisees, and of the Herodians, to catch him his talk.
Then said Peter, Silver and gold have I none; but what I have, I give thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.
Then it seemed good to the apostles and elders with the whole church, to send chosen men from among them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas, Judas, surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren,
Hereby ye know the spirit of God: every spirit which confesseth Jesus Christ come in the flesh, is of God.
This is he that was in the church in the wilderness, with the Angel who spake to him in mount Sinai, and with our fathers; who received the living oracles to give to us:
He proposed to them another parable, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard-seed, which a man took and sowed in his field:
But I say to you, my friends; Fear not them that kill the body, and after that can do no more:
Feed the flock of God which is among you, overseeing it not by constraint, but willingly, not for filthy gain, but of a ready mind,
If any one see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, let him ask, and he will give him life for them that sin not unto death.
And he said to him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
And king Herod heard (for his name was spread abroad) and he said, John the Baptist is risen from the dead, and therefore divine powers exert themselves in him.
Yea and all that are resolved to live godly in Christ Jesus, shall suffer persecution.
I have glorified thee on earth. I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
And going out, he went, according to his custom, to the mount of Olives, and his disciples also followed him.
Being inriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which worketh by us thanksgiving to God.
But now put ye also all these things off, anger, wrath, ill-nature, evil speaking, filthy discourse out of your mouth.
Now I would have you know, brethren, that the things concerning me have fallen out rather to the furtherance of the gospel:
In the mean time, an innumerable multitude being gathered together, so that they trod one upon another, he said to his disciples first, Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
And I profited in the Jewish religion above many of my years among my countrymen, being more abundantly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
Not as if the word of God had fallen to the ground; for all are not Israel, who are of Israel.
And having removed him, he raised up to them David for their king, to whom also bearing witness he said, I have found David, the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, who will do all my will.
And immediately the Spirit leadeth him out into the wilderness. And he was there in the wilderness forty days,
And now he hath obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much better a covenant he is a mediator of, which is established upon better promises.
And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth to him whom he would, and they came to him.
Follow after love: and desire spiritual gifts; but especially that ye may prophesy.
And shall come forth, they that have done good, to the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil, to the resurrection of damnation.
receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed. For he that biddeth him God speed, is partaker of his evil deeds.
A good man, out of the good treasure of his heart, bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man, out of the evil treasure of his heart, bringeth forth that which is evil; for of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
Hereafter I shall not talk much with with you; for the prince of this world is coming; but he hath nothing in me:
And which of you intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and computeth the cost, whether he hath sufficient to finish it?
Jesus seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, Son, thy sins are forgiven thee.
And as he knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda.
And God hath set in the church, first, apostles, secondly, prophets, thirdly, teachers: afterward miracles, then gifts of healing, helps, governments, different kinds of tongues.
Now when these things begin to come to pass, look up and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world, rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom, which he hath promised to them that love him?
I have therefore whereof to glory, through Jesus Christ, in the things pertaining to God.
And being let go, they went to their own company, and related all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.
(For he saith, I have heard thee in an acceptable time, and in a day of salvation have I succoured thee. Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father, when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power.
And there came one of the seven angels who had the seven phials, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the judgment of the great whore, that sitteth upon many waters:
Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the earth, unto the ninth hour.
But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, nor by the earth, nor by any other oath; but let your yea be yea, and your nay nay, lest ye fall into condemnation.
If ye were of the world, the world would love its own; but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
Then come his brethren and his mother, and standing without, sent to him, calling him.
not made with hands, that is, not of this building, And not by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, entered in once for all into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
But if Christ is preached, that he rose from the dead, how say some among you, that there is no resurrection of the dead?
They that are whole need not a physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
And why beholdest thou the mote in thy brother's eye, but observest not the beam in thine own eye?
But he that doubteth is condemned if he eat, because it is not of faith; for whatsoever is not of faith, is sin.
The woman saith to him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: whence then hast thou that living water?
And Jesus answering said to him, Happy art thou, Simon Barjonah; for flesh and blood have not revealed this to thee, but my Father who is in heaven.
The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said to her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband.
And on the first sabbath after the second day of unleavened bread, he went thro' the corn-fields, and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and ate, rubbing them in their hands.
Wherefore the rather, brethren, be diligent to make your calling and election firm; for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.
And he said to them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go to him at midnight and say to him, Friend, lend me three loaves:
through his great love wherewith he loved us, Hath quickened us together with Christ, even when we were dead in trespasses, (by grace ye are saved) And hath raised us up together,
Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Let him that stole, steal no more; but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
And to put on the new man, which is created after God, in righteousness and true holiness.
I will therefore that men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting:
Let us therefore fear, lest a promise being left us of entring into his rest, any of us should altogether come short of it.
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, in that he accounted me faithful,
This is the first commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is no other commandment greater than these.
Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the orders, as I delivered them to you.
Afterwards he appeared to the eleven, sitting at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them who had seen him after he was risen.
Wherefore he saith, Having ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men.
For I say to you, That unless your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of the least of these commandments and teach men so, shall be the least in the kingdom of heaven; but whosoever shall do and each them, he shall be great in the kingdom of heaven.
Happy are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.
But if thy right eye cause thee to offend, pluck it out and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
And coming to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.
as Christ also hath loved us, and given himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God of a sweet-smelling savour.
And straightway going into the boat with his disciples he came into the parts of Dalmanutha.
But whoso shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it were better for him that a milstone were hanged about his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Then the church through all Judea, and Galilee, and Samaria had peace: and being built up, and walking in the fear of God, and the comfort of the Holy Ghost, was multiplied.
He that testifieth these things saith, Yea, I come quickly. Amen: Come, Lord Jesus!
But the law came in between, that the offence might abound: yet where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
But when the sun was up, it was scorched, and because it had no root, it withered away.
And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring to you the testimony of God.
Jesus hearing these things, marvelled at him, and turning, said to the people that followed him, I say to you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted to them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
And Jesus looking upon them said, With men it is impossible, but not with God, for with God all things are possible.
And coming out, he could not speak to them; and they perceived, that he had seen a vision; for he beckoned to them, and remained speechless.
For thou wilt not leave my soul in Hades, neither wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption.
For godly sorrow worketh repentance unto salvation not to be repented of, whereas the sorrow of the world worketh death.
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly and not according to the tradition which he received of us.
The Lord answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each of you loose his ox or ass from the stall on the sabbath, and lead him away to watering!
If ye had known me, ye would have known my Father also: from henceforth ye have known him, and have seen him.
But let us who are of the day keep awake, having put on the breast-plate of faith and love, and for an helmet the hope of salvation.
(because he was of the family and houshold of David) To be inrolled with Mary, his espoused wife, being great with child.
And he led them out as far as Bethany; and lifting up his hands, he blessed them.
For the flesh desireth against the Spirit, but the Spirit desireth against the flesh (these are contrary to each other) that ye may not do the things which ye would.
Again, ye have heard, that it was said to them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform thine oaths unto the Lord.
That ye may be the children of your Father who is in heaven; for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust.
And from the days of John the Baptist till now, the kingdom of heaven is entered by force, and they which strive with all their might take it by violence.
If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God: if any man minister, let him minister as of the ability which God giveth, that God in all things may be glorified thro' Jesus Christ, whose is the glory and the might for ever and ever. Amen.
And to the angel of the church at Sardis write, These things saith he that hath the seven spirits of God, and the seven stars, I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, but art dead.
While we aim not at the things that are seen, but the things that are not seen: for the things that are seen are temporal, but the things that are not seen are eternal.
Jesus said to them, Verily I say to you, that ye who have followed me, in the renovation, when the Son of man shall sit on the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
But that we write to them, to abstain from things offered to idols and fornication, and things strangled and blood.
Hear another parable. There was a certain housholder, who planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a wine-press in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, in this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Brethren, be ye followers together of me, and mark them who walk so as ye have us for an example.
And I knew him not, but he that sent me to baptize with water, he had said to me, On whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and abiding on him, this is he who baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully. And he reasoned in himself, saying, What shall I do?
Not a new convert, left being puffed up, he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
And fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were wrought by the apostles.
And as they went in the way, one said to him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law. But if thou judgest the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come the salvation, and the might, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ, for the accuser of our brethren is cast out, who accused them before our God day and night.
The sum of what hath been spoken is, We have such an high priest, who is set down at the right-hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,
But the high priest arising, and all that were with him, which was the sect of the Saducees,
And he commanded the chariot to stop, and they both went down to the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up what thou layest not down, and reapest what thou didst not sow.
And that I have with-held nothing which was profitable, but have preached to you, and taught you, publickly and from house to house:
Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity, and falling down on his face, he burst asunder in the middle, and all his bowels gushed out.
But not finding them, they dragged Jason and certain brethren to the rulers of the city, crying aloud, These men, that have turned the world upside down, are come hither also:
yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you, will think he doth God service.
Because straight is the gate and narrow is the way that leadeth to life, and few there are that find it.
They gave heed to him, because he had a long time astonished them with witchcraft.
Then was brought to him a demoniac, blind and dumb; and he healed him, so that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
He it is, who coming after me, is preferred before me, whose shoes latchet I am not worthy to unloose.
When the evening was come, there came a rich man of Arimathea, named Joseph, who also himself was a disciple of Jesus.
And if ye are Christ's, then are ye the seed of Abraham, and heirs according to the promise.
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up, and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Jesus said to him, No man having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Who also hath made us able ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit; for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life.
But that which beareth thorns and briars is rejected and nigh unto a curse, whose end is to be burned.
And as he journeyed, he drew near Damascus; and suddenly there shone about him a light from heaven.
both the Father and Christ, In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
And I fell before his feet to worship him: but he saith to me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
and he saith) I am verily a Jew, born at Tarsus in Cilicia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and accurately instructed in the law of our fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.
The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham, being in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran, And said to him,
But Jesus calling them, saith to them, Ye know that they who rule over the Gentiles, lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority upon them.
That he might sanctify it (having cleansed it by the washing of water) through the word:
Jesus said to them, If God were your father, ye would love me; for I proceeded forth, and come from God. I am come not of myself, but He hath sent me.
But wo to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; for ye shut the kingdom of heaven against men: ye go not in, neither suffer ye them that are entring to go in.
All things are delivered to me by my Father; and no one knoweth the Son but the Father; neither knoweth any one the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son is pleased to reveal him.
And straightway he constrained his disciples to go into the boat, and go before to the other side toward Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.
And when the days of his ministration were accomplished, he went to his own house.
Let him that is taught in the word impart to him that teacheth in all good things.
And they carried it. When the governor of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine (he knew not whence it was, but the servants, who had drawn the water knew) the governor of the feast calleth the bridegroom,
For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was imputed to him for righteousness.
And the glory which thou hast given me, I have given them, that they may be one, as we are one:
I John, your brother and companion in the affliction, and in the kingdom, and patience of Jesus, was in the island Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus.
He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me, and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me;
For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what will the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
he that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If any come to you, and bring not this doctrine,
For the time is come for judgment to begin at the house of God: but if it begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
And suddenly there was a sound from heaven, as of a rushing, violent wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
And it was about the sixth hour; and there was darkness over all the earth till the ninth hour.
For if we believe, that Jesus died and rose again, so will God bring with him those also that sleep in Christ.
I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them whom thou hast given me; for they are thine.
For as the Father hath life in himself, so hath he given to the Son also to have life in himself,
Whose coming is after the mighty working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders,
the son of Cainan, The son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.
And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this perverse generation.
And they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ daily, in the temple, and from house to house.
Desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither the things they say, nor those concerning which they confidently affirm.
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge, after the image of him that created him:
But Jesus calling them to him, said, Suffer little children to come to me, and forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of God.
Jesus therefore saith to them, When ye shall have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am, and that I do nothing of myself, but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
And he said to them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also; for therefore am I sent.
And the devil taking him up into an high mountain, shewed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment.
Then were brought to him little children, that he should lay his hands on them and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
I know whom I have chosen, that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me, hath lift up his heel against me.
Whereby was fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our diseases.
Then said the chief priests to Pilate, Write not, the king of the Jews; but that he said, I am the king of the Jews.
that came forth to be baptized of him, Ye brood of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Then said Jesus to him, Put up again thy sword into its place; for all they that take the sword, shall perish by the sword.
and hid herself five months, saying, Thus hath the Lord done to me, in the days wherein he looked upon me, to take away my reproach among men.
But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
For in many things we offend all. If any one offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.
But wo to you, Pharisees; for ye tythe mint and rue and all herbs; and pass by justice and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Whom having not seen, ye love: in whom tho' ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory, Receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
And he commanded us, to proclaim to the people, and to testify, that it is he who is ordained by God the Judge of the living and the dead.
And to let all men see, what is the fellowship of the mystery, which was hidden from the beginning of the world by God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
And there was given me a reed, like a measuring rod; and he said, Arise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our comfort also aboundeth through Christ.
Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling, and to preserve you faultless in the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
And he said to them in his teaching, Beware of the Scribes, who love to go in long sobes,
And when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb: and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost,
And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun a year ago, not only to do, but also to do it willingly.
Moreover those my enemies, who would not that I should reign over them, bring hither and slay before me.
Again the devil taketh him with him to an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them, And saith to him,
