For this cause, sent I unto you, Timothy, - who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, who shall put, you, in mind of my ways which are in Christ Jesus, even as, everywhere, in every assembly, I teach.

This, however I am saying, by way of concession, not of injunction;

But, these things, by way of type, were happening unto them, and were written with a view to our admonition, unto whom, the ends of the ages, have reached along.

Trial, hath not taken you, save such as man can bear; faithful, moreover is God, who will not suffer you to be tried above what ye are able, but will make, with the trial, also the way of escape, that ye may be able to hold out.

Be envious, however, of the greater gifts; and, yet, a much more excellent way, unto you, I point out: -

But, now, brethren - if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit, you, except I speak, unto you, either by way of revelation, or knowledge, or prophesying, or teaching?

For I do not wish to see you, just now, by the way; for I hope to remain, some time, with you, - if, the Lord, permit.
