And found not what they might do; for all the people hung upon him to hear him.

saying, If we say from heaven, he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?

And they answered, They could not tell whence. Jesus said to them, Neither tell I you, by what authority I do these things.

And they could not take hold of his words before the people; and marvelling at his answer, they held their peace.

And after that, they durst not ask him any question at all.

he said, As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Go ye not after them. And when ye shall hear of wars, and commotions, be not terrified; for these things must be first; but the end is not immediately.

Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to premeditate what to answer. For I will give you a mouth and wisdom,

Then let them that are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let them that are in the midst of it, depart out, and let not them that are in the countries, enter thereinto.

And when he was at the place he said to them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

But he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not.

And Peter said, Man, I am not. And about one hour after, another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him, for he is a Galilean.
