For I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.

to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with flesh and blood,

nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia; and again I returned to Damascus.

I went up because of a revelation; and I set before them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. But I did this privately to those who were of reputation, for fear that I was running or had run my race in vain.

We did not yield to them even for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might remain with you.

This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?

Did you suffer so many things in vainif it really was in vain?

Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those which by nature are no gods.

and though my fleshly condition was a trial to you, you did not despise or scorn me, but you received me as an angel of God, as Christ Jesus himself.

This persuasion did not come from him who calls you.
