And Isaiah boldly says, "I was found by those who were not looking for me; I was revealed to those who were not asking for me."

But about Israel he says, "All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and rebellious people."

"Lord, they have killed your prophets and demolished your altars. I am the only one left, and they are trying to take my life."

I am speaking to you gentiles. Because I am an apostle to the gentiles, I magnify my ministry

This is my covenant with them when I take away their sins."

so they, too, have now disobeyed. As a result, they may receive mercy because of the mercy shown to you.

For God has locked all people in the prison of their own disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.

For it is written, "As certainly as I live, declares the Lord, every knee will bow to me, and every tongue will praise God."

For even the Messiah did not please himself. Instead, as it is written, "The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me."

so that the gentiles may glorify God for his mercy. As it is written, "That is why I will praise you among the gentiles; I will sing praises to your name."

However, on some points I have written to you rather boldly, both as a reminder to you and because of the grace given me by God

For I am bold enough to tell you only about what the Messiah has accomplished through me in bringing gentiles to obedience. By my words and actions,
