As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, remain on at Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines,

Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you through prophetic utterance when the council of elders laid their hands on you.

But refuse to put younger widows on the list, for when they feel sensual desires in disregard of Christ, they want to marry,

Fight the good fight of the faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
