And king Herod heard of Him, (for his name was spread abroad,) and he said, John the baptist is risen from the dead, and therefore miraculous powers appear in him.

But when Herod heard of Him, he said, it is John whom I beheaded, he is risen from the dead.

And the people saw them departing, and many took notice of them, and ran thither on foot from all the cities, and got before them, and came together unto Him.

and if I send them away fasting to their own home, they will faint by the way; for some of them are come from far.

And his disciples answered Him, From whence can one satisfy these people with bread here in a desert?

And as they came down from the mountain, He charged them to tell no one what they had seen, till after the Son of man were risen from the dead.

And they laid hold on that expression, querying among themselves, what means the rising from the dead?

The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men? answer me.

And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we say, from heaven; He will say, why then did ye not believe him?

but if we should say, from men --- they feared the people: (for they they all thought that John was a prophet indeed:)

And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that he might receive from them of the fruit of the vineyard:

this was from the Lord, and it is marvellous in our eyes."

And Jesus seeing that he answered discreetly, said to him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no one dared any more to put questions to Him.

for in those days shall be such affliction as never was from the beginning of the world, unto this day, nor ever shall be.

And He will then send forth his messengers, and will gather his elect together from the four winds, from the end of the earth to the end of heaven.

and buildest it in three days, save thyself and come down from the cross.

the king of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe in Him. And even they that were crucified with Him, reviled Him.

And the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom.

and when he heard it from the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.

And they said to one another, Who will roll away the stone for us from the door of the sepulchre?

And they hasted out and fled from the sepulchre; for they were seized with trembling and amazement: neither said they any thing to any one; for they were afraid.
