and the whole of Judaea and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him and got baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.

And he said to them all, There is one coming after me who is greater than I, whose shoes I am not good enough to undo.

Then the foul spirit convulsed him and with a deafening shriek got out of him.

So, Jesus went into the [Jewish] synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching [the good news about the coming kingdom, verses 14-15] and driving out evil spirits.

and said unto him, "See that thou say nothing to any man, but get thee hence and show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimonial unto them."

and, not being able to get near to him on account of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where he was, and having dug it up they let down the couch on which the paralytic lay.

Which is easier to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say 'Get up and pick up your stretcher and walk'?

But to let you see that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins"??e said to the paralytic??11 "I bid you rise, take up your cot, and go home."

"I say to you, get up, pick up your stretcher, and go to your home."

at length as Jesus sat at table in Levi's house, several publicans and loose people sat down likewise in company with Jesus, and his disciples: for a good number of them had followed him.

And Jesus, hearing it, said to them, Those who are well have no need of a medical man, but those who are ill: I have come not to get the upright but sinners.

In the mean time his brothers and his mother came there, and not being able to get within hearing,

Again Jesus began to teach beside the sea [of Galilee]. And a very large crowd gathered around Him, so He got into a boat [anchoring it a short distance out] on the sea and sat down; and the whole crowd was by the sea on the shore.

but when the sun rose it got scorched and withered away, because it had no root;

So that seeing they may see, and it will not be clear to them; and hearing it, they will not get the sense; for fear that they may be turned again to me and have forgiveness.

And he saith unto them - Know ye not this parable? How then will ye get to know all the parables?

but [since] they had such shallow roots, they continued on for [only] a little while. Then, when trouble and persecution arose over [obeying] 'the word,' immediately they stumbled [i.e., and fell away from God].

And these are they that are sown among the thorns; which are such as hear the word of God,

"Do people get out the lamp," he said to them, "and then put it under the peck-measure, or under the bed, instead of putting it up where it belongs?

For it is not hidden, save that it may be made visible; neither did it get hidden away, but that it might come into a place where it could be seen.

And he said to them, Take care what you give ear to: in the same measure as you give you will get, and more will be given to you.

But when the grain is ready, he quickly sends men to get it cut, because the time for cutting has come.

So they got away from the crowd, and took Him--as He was--in the boat; and other boats accompanied Him.

When Jesus got out of the boat, immediately a man from the tombs with an unclean spirit met Him,

Because he had frequently been prisoned in chains and iron bands, and the chains had been parted and the bands broken by him: and no man was strong enough to make him quiet.

And they begged Him, "Send us among the hogs, so that we can get into them."

So He let them do so. And the foul spirits came out of the man and got into the hogs, and the drove of about two thousand rushed over the cliff and into the sea and were drowned.

And he was imploring him many [times], saying, "My little daughter {is at the point of death}! Come, lay your hands on her, so that she will get well and will live."

and had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent everything she had and had found no advantage from it, but had rather got worse,

Then He said to her, “Daughter, your faith [your personal trust and confidence in Me] has restored you to health; go in peace and be [permanently] healed from your suffering.”

And taking hold of the child's hand, he said to her, "Talitha koum!" (which is translated, "Little girl, I say to you, get up!"),

The little girl immediately got up and began to walk, for she was twelve years old. And immediately they [who witnessed the child’s resurrection] were overcome with great wonder and utter amazement.

and he commanded them, again and again, that, no one, should get to know this thing, - and bade that food should be given her to eat.

And [when] the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard [him] were amazed, saying, "Where did this man [get] these [things]? And what [is] this wisdom that has been granted to this man, and the miracles such as these performed through his hands?

because Herod had a respect for John, knowing him to be a very honest good man, and therefore protected him; having reform'd many things upon his remonstrances, which he us'd to receive very graciously.

Then the apostles got together with Jesus and told Him everything they had done and taught [on their mission].

Then He said to them, "Come away, all of you, to a quiet place, and rest awhile." For there were many coming and going, so that they had no time even for meals.

So they got off in their boat to be by themselves in a quiet place.

And many saw them going, and recognised them, and ran together there on foot, out of all the cities, and got there before them.

Send them away, so that they may go into the country and small towns round about, and get some food for themselves.

But he said to them in answer, Give them food yourselves. And they said to him, Are we to go and get bread for two hundred pence, and give it to them?

He said, "How many loaves have you got? Go and see." When they found out they told him, "Five, and two fish."

Taking the five loaves and two fish, He looked up to heaven and said a blessing [of praise and thanksgiving to the Father]. Then He broke the loaves and [repeatedly] gave them to the disciples to set before the people; and He divided up the two fish among them all.

And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.

And when they had gone across, they came to Gennesaret, and got their boat to land.

They got out of the boat and immediately people recognized Him,

And whatever villages or towns or country places He came to, they would lay the sick in the market-places and beg Him to let them touch just the tassel of His coat, and everybody that touched it was cured.

and when they come from market they will not eat without bathing first; and they have a good many other customs which they have received traditionally and cling to, such as the rinsing of cups and pots and of bronze utensils, and the washing of beds.)
