But one in a certain place bore testimony, saying, "What is man, that thou art mindful of him, or the son of man, that thou carest for him?

For every highpriest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins;

For men indeed swear by one who is greater, and the oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.

Consider now how great this man was, to whom even Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the spoils.

And here indeed men that die receive tithes; but there he of whom it is testified that he liveth.

For the Law maketh men highpriests, who have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was after the Law, maketh the Son, who is perfected for ever.

for a testament is of force after men are dead, since it is of no force while the testator is living.

And as it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment;

Now my righteous man shall live by faith; but if he draw back, my soul hath no pleasure in him."

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord;

and to the church of the firstborn, who are enrolled in heaven; and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of righteous men made perfect;

so that we boldly say, "The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear; what shall man do to me?"
