The Lord is a God who takes care of his honour and gives punishment for wrong; the Lord gives punishment and is angry; the Lord sends punishment on those who are against him, being angry with his haters.

Jehovah is slow to anger, and great in power, and doth not at all clear the guilty: Jehovah, his way is in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

Who rebuketh the sea and hath made it dry, and, all the streams, hath he dried up, - withered are Bashan and Carmel, Even the bloom of Lebanon, is withered:

The mountains tremble before him, the hills convulse; the earth is laid waste before him, the world and all its inhabitants are laid waste.

Who shall stand before his indignation? and who shall abide in the fierceness of his anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken asunder by him.

The LORD is good a refuge in troubled times. He knows those who are confiding in him.

What are you scheming against the LORD? He will bring about utter desolation adversity will not strike twice!

For while princes are perplexed, And with their drink are drunken, They have been consumed as stubble fully dried.

You are being attacked by advancing forces! Guard your rampart! Watch your roads! Prepare yourselves! Marshall your defenses!

The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots glitter with the sheen of steel, in the day of his preparation, and the spears are brandished.

In out-places shine do the chariots, They go to and fro in broad places, Their appearances are like torches, As lightnings they run.

Your pain may not be made better; you are wounded to death: all those hearing the news about you will be waving their hands in joy over you: for who has not undergone the weight of your evil-doing again and again?
