For if you have ten thousand teachers in Christ still you have not many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you by the gospel.

And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed should be removed from among you.

For I indeed as absent in body, but present in spirit, have already judged as present him that has so done this,

But I have used none of these things, and I have not written these things that it should be so done to me; for I prefer to die, rather than that any one should make my boasting vain.

Neither be idolaters, as some of them were, as it is written; The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

What then is [to be done]? I will pray with the spirit, I will pray also with the understanding; I will sing with the spirit, I will sing also with the understanding;

but in an assembly I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that I may also teach others, than ten thousand words in a tongue.

and the secrets of his heart are made manifest, and so falling down on his face he worships God, declaring that God is really among you.

What then is [to be done] brothers? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a doctrine, has a revelation, has an interpretation; let all things be done for edification.

but let all things be done becomingly and in order.
