and he who invited thee and him, should come and say to thee, Give place to this person, and then thou begin with shame to take the lowest place.

So the servant came and told his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go directly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the lame, and the blind.

But will he not rather say to him, Get ready my supper, and gird thyself, and wait upon me, till I have done, and afterwards thou shalt eat and drink.

I think not. So likewise ye, when ye have done all things that were commanded you, say we are unprofitable servants, for we have done only what we ought to do.

And when He saw them, He said unto them, Go and shew yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass as they were going, they were cleansed.

Neither shall they say, Behold it is here, or behold it is there; for the kingdom of God is within you.

And He said to the disciples, the time will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and shall not see it.

And they will say to you, Behold, He is here, or behold He is there: but go not after them, nor follow them.

For as the lightning which lightneth from the one part of heaven shineth to the other: so also shall the Son of man be in his day.

and say to the master of the house, Our Master inquireth by us, Where is the room, in which I may eat the passover with my disciples?

for I say unto you, that I will not eat of it any more, till it be accomplished in the kingdom of God.

But when they that were about Him saw what would follow, they said to Him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?

And one of them smote the high priest's servant and cut off his right ear:

Then they took Him and led Him away, and brought Him to the high priest's. And Peter followed at a distance.

and understanding that He was of Herod's jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who was also at Jerusalem at that time.

And Herod, when he saw Jesus, was very glad; for he had of a long time been desirous to see Him, because he had heard much of Him, and he hoped to see some miracle wrought by Him.

So Pilate gave sentence that what they demanded should be done.

But Peter arose and ran to the sepulchre; and stooping down he saw the linen cloths lying by themselves: and he went away, wondering in himself at what had happened.
