After these things Jesus went over the Sea of Galilee, the Sea of Tiberias.

Then Jesus lifted up His eyes and saw a great crowd come to Him. He said to Philip, Where shall we buy loaves so that these may eat?

One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said to Him,

And Jesus said, Make the men recline. And there was much grass in the place. So the men reclined, about five thousand in number.

And when they were filled, He said to His disciples, Gather up the fragments left over, so that nothing is lost.

and entered into a boat, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus had not come to them.

And the sea rose up because of a great wind that blew.

Then having rowed about twenty-five or thirty furlongs, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the ship. And they were afraid.

The following day, the crowd standing on the other side of the sea had seen that there was no other little boat there except that one into which His disciples had entered, and when they saw that Jesus did not go with His disciples into the little boat, but that His disciples had gone away alone,

therefore, when the crowd saw that Jesus was not there, nor His disciples, they themselves also entered into the boats and came to Capernaum seeking Jesus.

And when they had found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, Rabbi, when did you come here?

Jesus answered them and said, Truly, truly, I say to you, You seek Me not because you saw the miracles, but because you ate the loaves and were filled.

Therefore they said to Him, What sign do you show then, so that we may see and believe you? What do you work?

And they said, Is this not Jesus the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How now does this One say, I have come down from Heaven?

Then what if you should see the Son of Man going up where He was before?

Therefore His brothers said to Him, Move away from here and go into Judea, so that Your disciples also may see the works that You do.

If a man receives circumcision on the sabbath day so that the Law of Moses should not be broken, are you angry at Me because I have made a man entirely sound on the sabbath day?

But lo, he speaks publicly, and they say nothing to him. Perhaps the rulers truly know that this is the Christ indeed?

They answered and said to him, Are you also from Galilee? Search the scriptures and see that a prophet has not been raised out of Galilee.

They said this, tempting Him so that they might have reason to accuse Him. But bending down, Jesus wrote on the ground with His finger, not appearing to hear.

Then they said to Him, Who are you? And Jesus said to them, Even the same which I also say to you.

I have many things to say and to judge of you, but He who sent Me is true, and I speak to the world those things what I heard of Him.

They answered Him, We are Abraham's seed and were never in bondage to anyone. How do you say, You will be made free?

Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said to them, He put clay upon my eyes, and I washed, and I see.

They said to the blind man again, What do you say about him, for he has opened your eyes? He said, He is a prophet.

And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, whom you say was born blind? How then does he now see?

He answered and said, Whether He is a sinner, I do not know; one thing I do know, that being blind, now I see.

And Jesus said, I have come into this world for judgment, that they who do not see might see, and that they who see might be made blind.

Jesus said to them, If you were blind, you would have no sin. But now you say, We see. Therefore your sin remains.

Truly, truly, I say to you, He who does not enter into the sheepfold by the door, but going up by another way, that one is a thief and a robber.
