As I asked you to do when I was on my way to Macedonia, stay on in Ephesus in order to warn certain people there not to teach strange views

as set forth in the glorious good news of the blessed God with which I have been intrusted.

Let no one look down on you because you are young, but set those who believe an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.

Charge the rich of this world not to be arrogant, nor to set their hopes on such an uncertain thing as riches, but on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
