But though thou wentest up as high as the Eagle, and madest thy nest above among the stars: yet would I pluck thee down from thence.

"If thieves came to rob you during the night, they would steal only as much as they wanted! If grape pickers came to harvest your vineyards, they would leave some behind for the poor! But you will be totally destroyed!

But how shall they rip Esau, and seek out his treasures!

But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day of his disaster; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; nor have opened wide thy mouth in the day of distress.

But upon mount Zion shall there be deliverance, and it shall be holy; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.

"The house of Jacob will be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, but the house of Esau will be kindling. Then Jacob and Joseph will burn and consume Esau, and no survivor will remain from the house of Esau." Indeed, the Lord has spoken it.

Saviors will ascend Mount Zion
to rule over the hill country of Esau,
but the kingdom will be the Lord’s.
