Neither give heed to myths and endless genealogies, which cause questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor the things they affirm.

But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety at home, and so repay their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.

Some men's sins are evident beforehand, going before them to judgment; and some men they follow after.
