For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall neither drink wine nor strong drink. And he shall be filled with the holy ghost, even in his mother's womb:
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.
And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that bought and sold in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves.
For they that sleep, sleep in the night: and they that be drunken, are drunken in the night.
And that by him are all that believe justified from all things, from the which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Doth a lion roar in the woods, except he have prey? Or crieth a Lion's whelp out of his den, except he have gotten something?
But as soon as his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast: not openly, but as it were privily.
The Jews therefore said unto him that was made whole, "It is the Sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed."
And unto man he said, 'Behold, to fear the LORD is wisdom: and to forsake evil, is understanding.'"
For mark, the day cometh that shall burn as an oven: and all the proud, yea and all such as do wickedness, shall be straw: and the day that is for to come, shall burn them up, sayeth the LORD of Hosts, so that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
Hath the LORD a pleasure in many thousand rams, or innumerable streams of oil? Or shall I give my firstborn for mine offenses, and the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?"
The soul that sinneth, she shall die. The son shall not bear part of the father's wickedness. The righteousness of the right shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be on him.
"And write unto the tidings-bringer of the congregation of Philadelphia, 'This saith he that is holy and true, which hath the key of David; which openeth and no man shutteth, and shutteth and no man openeth.
{Of David, when he changed his speech before Abimelech; which drove him away, and he departed} I will always give thanks unto the LORD; his praise shall ever be in my mouth.
For the weapons of our war are not carnal things, but things mighty in God to cast down strongholds;
And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the unbelievers to the wisdom of the just men: to make the people ready for the Lord."
The end of all things is at hand. Be ye therefore discreet, and sober, that ye may be apt to prayers.
The path of the righteous escheweth evil; and whoso looketh well to his ways, keepeth his own soul.
For these false apostles are deceitful workers, and fashion themselves like unto the apostles of Christ.
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day. The night cometh, when no man can work.
Then his master said unto him, 'Well, good servant and faithful; Thou hast been faithful in little, I will make thee ruler over much: enter in into thy master's joy.'
wherefore if I come I will declare his deeds which he doeth, jesting on us with malicious words, neither is therewith content. Not only he himself receiveth not the brethren: but also he forbiddeth them that would, and thrusteth them out of the congregation.
I tell you, he will avenge them, and that quickly. Nevertheless, when the son of man cometh, suppose ye that he shall find faith on the earth?"
I rejoice in the Lord greatly, that now at the last ye are revived again to care for me in that wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
For if some man see thee, which hast knowledge, sit at meat in the idol's temple shall not the conscience of him which is weak be boldened to eat those things which are offered unto the idol?
To all you of Rome beloved of God, and saints by calling. Grace be with you, and peace from God our father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
that in all things ye are made rich by him, in all learning and in all knowledge:
{An Instruction of David} Blessed is he, whose unrighteousness is forgiven, and whose sin is covered.
The Jews then, because it was the Sabbath even that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the Sabbath day - For that Sabbath day was a high day - besought Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken down.
The secrets pertain unto the LORD our God and the things that are opened pertain unto us and our children forever, that we do all the words of this law.
For thus sayeth the LORD, even he that created heaven, the God that made the earth, that fashioned it, and set it forth: I have not made it for naught, but I made it to be inhabited. Even I the LORD, without whom there is none other.
Wherefore if we receive a kingdom which is not moved, we have grace, whereby we may serve God and please him with reverence and godly fear.
And whosoever remaineth yet in any manner of place, where he is a stranger, let the men of his place help him with silver and gold, with good and cattle, beside that which they willingly offer, for the house of God at Jerusalem.'"
Let him that hath ears hear, what the spirit saith unto the congregations. To him that overcometh, will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.'
whose also are the fathers, and they of whom; as concerning the flesh; Christ came: which is God over all things, blessed forever. Amen.
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection. For on such shall the second death have no power, for they shall be the priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
And the LORD said unto him, "Call his name Jezreel, for I will shortly avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will bring the kingdom of the house of Israel to an end.
And though he were God's son, yet learned he obedience, by those things which he suffered,
and hath spoiled rule and power, and hath made a show of them openly, and hath triumphed over them in his own person.
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues, like as they had been fire, and it sat upon each of them:
This said he. And after that he said unto them, "Our friend Lazarus sleepeth, but I go to wake him out of sleep."
And one of the evildoers which hanged, railed on him, saying, "If thou be Christ, save thyself and us."
Therefore said he unto them, "Go your way, and eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send part unto them also that have not prepared themselves: for this day is holy unto our LORD. Be not ye sorry therefore: for the joy of the LORD is your strength."
"I, Jesus, sent mine angel, to testify unto you these things in the congregations. I am the root and the generation of David, and the bright morning star."
And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord: and received the word in much affliction, with joy of the holy ghost:
But I say to you, That ye resist not wrong. But whosoever give thee a blow on thy right cheek, turn to him the other.
and he that is endued with understanding shall obtain wit to perceive a parable, and the interpretation thereof; the words of the wise, and the dark speeches of the same.
Ye ask and receive not, because ye ask amiss, even to consume it upon your voluptuousness.
Behold, whoso will not believe, his soul shall not prosper: but the just shall live by his faith.
And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James, the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, even as they were in the ship mending their nets.
When the Pharisees saw that, they said unto his disciples, "Why eateth your master with publicans and sinners?"
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men, but the blasphemy of the spirit shall not be forgiven unto men.
There goeth a common saying that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not once named among the gentiles: that one should have his father's wife.
I certify you brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me, was not after the manner of men,
Let men this wise esteem us, even as the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the secrets of God.
Therefore I will give him his part in many, and the spoil of the rich he shall divide: because he gave his soul to death, and was numbered with the trespassers, and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for transgressors.
"Ye men and brethren, this scripture must have needs been fulfilled which the holy ghost, through the mouth of David, spake before of Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus:

But the LORD hurled a great wind in to the sea, so that there was a mighty tempest in the sea: insomuch that the ship was like to go in pieces.
Take heed, brethren, that there be in none of you an evil heart, in unbelief, that he should depart from the living God:
If a man say, "I love God," and yet hate his brother, he is a liar. For how can he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, love God whom he hath not seen?
And for this cause is he the mediator of the new testament, that through death which chanced for the redemption of those transgressions that were in the first testament, they which were called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Yea, and a man might say, "Thou hast faith, and I have deeds: Show me thy faith by thy deeds: and I will show thee my faith by my deeds."
But after a certain space, Paul said unto Barnabas, "Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have showed the word of the Lord, and see how they do."
Paul an apostle, not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and by God the father which raised him from death,
When they had eaten enough, he said unto his disciples, "Gather up the broken meat that remaineth: that nothing be lost."
See that ye despise not one of these little ones. For I say unto you, that in heaven their angels always behold the face of my father, which is in heaven.
And he said, "Abba father, all things are possible unto thee, take away this cup from me. Nevertheless, not that I will, but that thou wilt be done."
And they came into a place named Gethsemane. And he said to his disciples, "Sit ye here while I go apart and pray."
My father which gave them me, is greater than all men; and no man is able to take them out of my father's hand.
And he came to Bethsaida, and they brought a blind man unto him and desired him, to touch him.
And we are his records as concerning these things: and also the holy ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him."
Unto the pure, are all things pure: but unto them that are defiled, and unbelieving, is nothing pure: but even the very minds and consciences of them are defiled.
Hear all ye people, mark this well, O earth, and all that therein is: Yea, the LORD God himself be witness among you, even the Lord from his holy temple.
The chief point of wisdom is that thou be willing to obtain wisdom, and before all thy goods to get the understanding.
They brought unto him also babes, that he should touch them. When the disciples saw that, they rebuked them.
Behold, I will make thee small among the Heathen, so that thou shalt be utterly despised.
Thou Tyre and Sidon and all the borders of the Philistines: what have ye to do with me? Will ye defy me? Well, if ye will needs defy me, I shall recompense you, even upon your head, and that right shortly:

Simeon told how God at the beginning did visit the gentiles, and received of them people unto his name.
and called the light "day," and the darkness "night." And so of the evening and morning was made the first day.
If, when I tell you earthly things, ye believe not: How should ye believe if I shall tell you of heavenly things?
He that heareth you, heareth me: And he that despiseth you, despiseth me. And he that despiseth me, despiseth him that sent me."
The LORD God hath given me a well learned tongue, so that I can comfort them which are troubled; yea, and that in due season. He waked mine ear up betimes in the morning, as schoolmasters do; that I might hark.
And it happened on a certain day, that he taught: and there sat the Pharisees, and doctors of law, which were come out of all the towns of Galilee, Jewry, and Jerusalem, and the power of the Lord was to heal them.

And as they went walking and talking, behold, there came a chariot of fire and horses of fire and put them asunder. And Elijah went up in the whirlwind to heaven.

For whom the Lord loveth, him he chasteneth: yea, and he scourgeth every son that he receiveth."
Even like as in time past it hath been well seen, that the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, wherethrough the sea way goeth over Jordan in to the land of Galilee, was at the first in little trouble, but afterward sore vexed.
And he answered him, "Unto the evening and the morning, even two thousand and three hundred days. Then shall the Sanctuary be cleansed again."
and vowed a vow and said, "LORD of Hosts, if thou wilt look on the wretchedness of thine handmaid and shalt remember me and not forget thine handmaid, and shalt give unto thine handmaid a man child I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life and there shall neither razor or shears come upon his head."
And they went forth, and preached everywhere. And the Lord wrought with them; And confirmed the word with miracles that followed.
And the dragon was wroth with the woman: and went and made war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
And Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread only, but by every word of God.'"
When one of them that sat at meat also heard that, he said unto him, "Happy is he that eateth bread in the kingdom of God."
Set your affection on things that are above, and not on things which are on the earth.
Before that faith came, we were kept and shut up under the law, unto the faith which should afterward be declared.
If there arise among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and give thee a sign or a wonder -
And that same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, "Unto thy seed will I give this land, from the river of Egypt, even unto the great river Euphrates:
Moreover, in those days after that tribulation, the sun shall wax dark, and the moon shall not give her light,
And Mesha king of Moab - which was rich of sheep, and was wont to render unto the king of Israel a hundred thousand lambs and as many rams, with the wool -
Therefore take no thought, saying, 'What shall we eat?' Or. 'What shall we drink?' Or, 'Wherewith shall we be clothed?'
which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast. Which hope also entereth in, into those things which are within the veil,
And after that the LORD God had made of the earth all manner beasts of the field, and all manner fowls of the air, he brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them. And as Adam called all manner living beasts: even so are their names.
And we have not received the spirit of the world: but the spirit which cometh of God, for to know the things that are given to us of God,
After the death of Moses, the servant of the LORD, the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,
"'If thou wilt have bondservants and maidens, thou shalt buy them of the heathen that are round about you,
For as by one man's disobedience many became sinners: so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, "Thrust in thy sickle and reap: for the time is come to reap, for the corn of the earth is ripe."
But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in his law will he exercise himself, day and night.
For God is not causer of strife: but of peace, as he is in all other congregations of the saints.
Thanks be unto God which always giveth us the victory in Christ, and openeth the savor of his knowledge by us in every place.
And when they heard that, they lifted up their voices to God with one accord and said, "Lord, thou art God which hast made heaven and earth, the sea and all that in them is,
For I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak mouth to mouth. Peace be with thee. The lovers salute thee. Greet the lovers by name. {Here ends the Third General Epistle of John}
The servant that knew his master's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
All things are created by him, and in him, and he is before all things, and in him all things have their being.
Insomuch that many of the brethren in the Lord are boldened through my bonds, and dare more largely speak the word without fear.
And when I saw him, I fell at his feet, even as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, "Fear not. I am the first and the last,

When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, see that thou learn not to do after the abominations of these nations.

and hated Esau: Yea I have made his hills waste, and his heritage a wilderness for dragons."
And suppose that the long suffering of the Lord is salvation, even as our dearly beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given unto him, wrote to you,
And Jesus said unto him, "If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give it to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me."
Of the gathering for the saints, as I have ordained in the congregations of Galatia, even so do ye.
And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones, that believe in me: it were better for him, that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were cast into the sea.
that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
And now, Israel, what is it that the LORD thy God requireth of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God and to walk in all his ways and to love him and to serve the LORD thy God with all thine heart and with all thy soul,
but put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ. And make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts of it.
Preach I man's doctrine or God's? Other go I about to please men? If I studied to please men, I were not the servant of Christ.
As he beheld, he saw the rich men, how they cast in their offerings into the treasury.
{A song of the stairs} Behold, how good and joyful a thing it is, brethren, to dwell together in unity!
But he that doth truth, cometh to the light, that his deeds might be known, how that they are wrought in God."
And he bare his cross, and went forth into a place called the place of dead men's skulls: which is named in Hebrew, Golgotha:
Ye shall hear of wars, and of the fame of wars, but see that ye be not troubled, for all must come to pass; but the end is not yet.
For why? Thou shalt not leave my soul in hell, neither shalt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption.
I am constrained of two things. I desire to be loosed, and to be with Christ, which thing is best of all:
and they said between themselves, "Did not our hearts burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, as he opened to us the scriptures?"
Yea, if thou turn thy feet from the Sabbath, so that thou do not the thing which pleaseth thyself in my holy day: then shalt thou be called unto the pleasant, holy, and glorious Sabbath of the LORD, where thou shalt be in honor - so that thou do not after thine own imagination, neither seek thine own will, nor speak thine own words.
We know that we are translated from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother, abideth in death.
As it is written, "The first man Adam was made a living soul," and the last Adam was made a quickening spirit:
For they that be living, know that they shall die: but they that be dead, know nothing, neither deserve they anymore. For their memorial is forgotten,
Now upon a certain day when his sons and daughters were eating, and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house,
For of a truth, against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod and also Pontius Pilate with the gentiles, and the people of Israel, gathered themselves together:
But Peter said, "God forbid Lord, for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean."
Forasmuch as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he which suffereth in the flesh ceaseth from sin,
Lead us not into temptation: but deliver us from evil, For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory for ever. Amen.
For thus sayeth the high and excellent, even he that dwelleth in everlastingness, whose name is the holy one: I dwell high above and in the sanctuary, and with him also, that is of a contrite and humble spirit: that I may heal a troubled mind, and a contrite heart.
And they sent unto him certain of the Pharisees with Herod's servants, to take him in his words.
Paul, by vocation an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and brother Sosthenes.
Then said Peter, "Silver and gold have I none: such as I have, give I thee. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk."
Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole congregation, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They sent Judas, called also Barsabbas, and Silas, which were chief men among the brethren:
Hereby shall ye know the spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God.
This is he that was in the congregation in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the Mount Sinai, and with our fathers. This man received the word of life to give unto us,
Another parable he put forth unto them saying, "The kingdom of heaven is like unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man taketh and soweth in his field, which is the least of all seeds.
I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
see that ye feed Christ's flock, which is among you, taking the oversight of them: not as though ye were compelled thereto, but willingly; Not for the desire of filthy lucre, but of a good mind.
If any man see his brother sin a sin that is not to death, let him ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death, for which say I not that a man should pray.
He said unto him, "Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, and that is, God: But if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments."
And king Herod heard of him, for his name was spread abroad; And he said, "John Baptist is risen again from death, and therefore miracles are wrought by him."
I have glorified thee on the earth. I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
And he came out: and went, as he was wont, to Mount Olivet. And the disciples followed him.
Seek through the scripture of the LORD and read it: There shall none of these things be left out, there shall not one, nor such like, fail. For what his mouth commandeth, that same doth his spirit gather together or fulfill.
ye may be made rich in all singleness, which causeth through us, thanksgiving unto God.
But now put ye also away from you all things; wrath, fierceness, maliciousness, cursed speaking, filthy speaking out of your mouths.
I would ye understood, brethren, that my business is happened unto the greater furthering of the gospel.
As there gathered together an innumerable multitude of people - insomuch that they trod one another - he began to say unto his disciples, "First of all, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
and prevailed in the Jews' law, above many of my companions, which were of mine own nation, and was a much more fervent maintainer of the traditions of the elders.
I speak not these things as though the words of God had taken none effect. For they are not all Israelites which came of Israel;
And after he had put him down, he set up David to be their king: of whom he gave reported, saying, 'I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, he shall fulfill all my will.'
Now hath he obtained a more excellent office, inasmuch as he is the mediator of a better testament, which was made for better promises.
When a man hath taken a wife and married her, if she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath spied some uncleanness in her: Then let him write her a bill of divorcement and put it in her hand and send her out of his house.
and hath raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly things through Christ Jesus.
And he went up into a mountain, and called unto him whom he would, and they came unto him.
{A song of the stairs} I lift up mine eyes unto the hills; from whence cometh my help?
and shall come forth: They that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; And they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good. And an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart, bringeth forth that which is evil. For of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaketh.
Hereafter will I not talk many words unto you. For the chief ruler of this world cometh, and hath nought in me.
Which of you is he that is disposed to build a tower, and sitteth not down before and counteth the cost: Whether he have sufficient to perform it?
The sons of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen. {Here ends the Second General Epistle of John}
When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the sick of the palsy, "Son, thy sins are forgiven thee."
As Peter knocked at the entry door, a damsel came forth to hearken, named Rhoda.
And God hath also ordained in the congregation, first the apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, then them that do miracles; after that, the gifts of healing, helpers, governors, diversity of tongues.
When these things begin to come to pass: then look up, and lift up your heads, for your redemption draweth nigh."
Hearken, my dear beloved brethren, hath not God chosen the poor of this world, which are rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom, which he promised to them that love him?
I have, therefore, whereof I may rejoice in Christ Jesus, in those things which pertain to God.
As soon as they were let go, they came to their fellows, and showed all that the high priests and elders had said to them.
For he saith, "I have heard thee in a time accepted: and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee." Behold, now is that well accepted time. Behold, now is the day of salvation.
Then cometh the end, when he hath delivered up the kingdom to God the father, when he hath put down all rule, authority, and power.
And there came one of the seven angels, which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, "Come, I will show thee the judgment of the great whore, that sitteth upon many waters,
But above all things, my brethren, swear not: neither by heaven, neither by earth, neither by any other oath. Let your yea be "yea," and your nay, "nay," lest ye fall into hypocrisy.
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own. Howbeit, because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore hateth you the world.
And then came his mother and his brethren, and stood without, and sent unto him and called him:
neither by the blood of goats, and calves: but by his own blood, we entered once for all into the holy place, and found eternal redemption.
The wise, such as have taught others, shall glister as the shining of heaven: and those that have instructed the multitude unto Godliness, shall be as the stars, world without end.
If Christ be preached, how that he rose from the dead: how say some that are among you, that there is no resurrection of the dead?
When Jesus heard that, he said unto them, "The whole have no need of the Physician: but the sick. I came not to call the righteous, but the sinners to repentance."
Why seest thou a mote in thy brother's eye, and perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Wherefore, brethren, give the more diligence for to make your calling and election sure. For if ye do such things, ye shall never err.

Wherefore now art thou not a servant, but a son. If thou be the son, thou art also the heir of God through Christ.
O tarry thou the LORD's leisure. Be strong, and he shall comfort thine heart; and put thou thy trust in the LORD.

He is a Rock, and perfect are his deeds, for all his ways are with discretion. God is faithful and without wickedness, both righteous and just is he.

Jesus looked upon them, and said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible."

because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt suffer thine holy to see corruption.
For ye sorrowed godly: so that in nothing were ye hurt by us. For godly sorrow causeth repentance, unto salvation not to be repented of: when worldly sorrow causeth death.
We require you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh inordinately, and not after the institution which ye received of us.
And on him shall light the spirit of the LORD: the spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the spirit of counsel and of strength, the spirit of knowledge and of reverence, and it shall make him savour of the fear of the LORD
They are all plain to such as will understand, and right to them that find knowledge.
To speak of things dedicated unto idols, we are sure that we all have knowledge. Knowledge maketh a man swell: but love edifieth.
"It is not the earth that bringeth forth travail, neither cometh sorrow out of the ground;

As the people were in a doubt, and all men disputed in their hearts of John: Whether he were very Christ;
And they marveled at his learning. For he taught them as one that had power with him, and not as the scribes did.
But the LORD is a true God, a living God, and an everlasting king. If he be wroth, the earth shaketh: all the Gentiles may not abide his indignation.
Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song unto the LORD, and said, "Let us sing unto the LORD, for he is become glorious, the horse and him that rode upon him hath he overthrown in the sea!
For this ye know, that no whoremonger, either unclean person, or covetous person, which is the worshipper of images, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ, and of God.
And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, "Abraham believed God, and it was reputed unto him for righteousness," and he was called the friend of God.
Wherefore if they shall say unto you, 'Behold, he is in the desert,' go not forth: 'Lo, he is in the secret places,' believe not.
Death and life stand in the power of the tongue; he that loveth it, shall enjoy the fruit thereof.
And I saw, in the right hand of him that sat in the throne, a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
and with all living things that is with you: both fowl and cattle, and all manner beast of the earth that is with you, of all that cometh out of the ark, whatsoever beast of the earth it be.
And the damsel was exceeding fair, and cherished the king and ministered to him: But the king knew her not.
Wherefore I warn thee that thou stir up the gift of God which is in thee, by the putting on of my hands.
They wondered all, and marveled: saying among themselves, "Behold, are not all these which speak of Galilee?
I have given them thy words, and the world hath hated them: because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Also, if they had been mindful of that country, from whence they came out, they had leisure to have returned again.
Furthermore, we beseech you brethren, and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that ye increase more and more, even as ye have received of us, how ye ought to walk and to please God.
Then Peter, full of the holy ghost, said unto them, "Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
And tear your hearts and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God. For he is full of mercy and compassion, long ere he be angry, and great in mercy and repentance when he is at the point to punish.
And he said unto them, "To you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: But unto them that are without, shall all things be done in similitudes:
There was a man of Ramathaimzophim of mount Ephraim, named Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephraimite:
Let us not, therefore, judge one another any more. But judge this, rather: that no man put a stumbling block, or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
Whose apparel shall not be outward with broided hair, and hanging on of gold, other in putting on of gorgeous apparel:
When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in the spirit, and testified saying, "Verily, verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me."
But woe be to them that be with child, and to them that give suck in those days, for there shall be great trouble in the land: and wrath over all this people.
The LORD is my stony rock, and my defense, my Saviour, my God, and my might, in whom I will trust, my buckler, the horn also of my salvation, and my refuge. {TYNDALE: The LORD is my rock, my castle and my deliverer. God is my strength, and in him will I trust: my shield and the horn that defendeth me: mine high hold and refuge.}
Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas into the hall of judgment. It was in the morning, and they themselves went not into the judgment hall lest they should be defiled, but that they might eat the paschal lamb.
And he showed us, how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said to him, 'Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, named also Peter:
Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel, how they might tangle him in his words.
But unto Hannah he gave a portion with a heavy cheer, for he loved her; nevertheless the LORD had made her barren.
Her prophets are light persons and unfaithful men: her priests unhallow the Sanctuary, and do wrong under the pretence of the law.
Such a high priest it becometh us to have, which is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than heaven.
Cry with the throat and spare not. Lift up thy voice as a trumpet, and tell my people their offences and the house of Jacob their sins.
and see that ye have honest conversation among the gentiles, that they which backbite you as evil doers, may see your good works and praise God in the day of visitation.
Remember thy maker in thy youth, before the days of adversity come, and or the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, "I have no pleasure in them";
They confess that they know God: but with the deeds they deny him and are abominable, and disobedient, and unto all good works discommendable.
Upon some Sunday, let every one of you put aside at home, and lay up whatsoever he thinketh meet, that there be no gatherings when I come.
Whatsoever thou takest in hand to do, that do with all thy power: for among the dead, where thou goest unto, there is neither work, counsel, knowledge nor wisdom.
But the servant of the Lord must not strive: but must be peaceable unto all men, and apt to teach,
Man that is born of a woman hath but a short time to live, and is full of divers miseries.
and the tongue is fire, and a world of wickedness. So is the tongue set among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth afire all that we have of nature, and is itself set afire, even of hell.
And after that, I heard the voice of much people in heaven saying, "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and honour, and power be ascribed to the Lord our God,
the children of Israel grew, increased, multiplied and waxed exceeding mighty: so that the land was full of them.
And so they sought for a fair damsel throughout all the coasts of Israel and found one Abishag, a Shunammite, and brought her to the king.
And this say we unto you in the word of the Lord, that we which live and are remaining in the coming of the Lord, shall not come before they which sleep.
"And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth."
For there are certain craftily crept in, of which it was written aforetime unto such judgement. They are ungodly, and turn the grace of our Lord God unto wantonness; And deny God the only Lord, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Remember the saying, that I said unto you, 'The servant is not greater than the Lord.' If they have persecuted me, so will they persecute you. If they have kept my saying, so will they keep yours.
For the promise that he should be heir of the world was not given to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law: but through the righteousness which cometh of faith.
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And what is the son of man that thou visitest him?
Wherefore of these men which have companied with us - all the time that the Lord Jesus went out and in among us,
The people that have dwelt in darkness, shall see a great light. As for them that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them shall the light shine.
And he was in agony, and prayed somewhat longer: And his sweat was like drops of blood, trickling down to the ground.
A friend that delighteth in love, doth a man more friendship, and sticketh faster unto him than a brother.
Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments and made four parts, to every soldier a part, and also his coat. The coat was without seam, wrought upon throughout.
Then Simon Peter answered him, "Master, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life;
Then came the day of sweet bread, when of necessity the Easter lamb must be offered.
which shall change into another fashion our vile bodies, that they may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able to subdue all things unto himself.
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world, to confound the wise. And God hath chosen the weak things of the world, to confound things which are mighty.
But the LORD answered me, and said, "Write the vision plainly upon thy tables, that whoso cometh by, may read it:
and his feet like unto brass, as though they burnt in a furnace: and his voice as the sound of many waters.
Be ye also patient therefore, and settle your hearts, for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
By faith Abraham offered up Isaac, when he was tempted, and he offered him being his only begotten son, which had received the promises:
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot. I would thou were cold or hot.
Every branch that beareth not fruit in me, he will take away. And every branch that beareth fruit will he purge, that it may bring more fruit.
Abraham begat Isaac; Isaac begat Jacob; Jacob begat Judah and his brethren;
And the king went to Gibeon, to offer there: for that was a great offering place. And there Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings upon that altar.
The God of patience and consolation give unto every one of you, that ye be like likeminded one towards another after the example of Jesus Christ:
If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet: ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
Forasmuch then as we are the generation of God, we ought not to think that the godhead is like unto gold, silver, or stone, graven by craft and imagination of man.
Here is the patience of saints. Here are they that keep the commandments and the faith of Jesus.
And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, which were of all nations under heaven.
which shall strengthen you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore seeing he was a prophet, and knew that God had sworn with an oath to him, that the fruit of his loins should sit on his seat - in that Christ should rise again in the flesh -
The other disciples said unto him, "We have seen the Lord." And he said unto them, "Except I see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger in the holes of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe."
That he ascended: what meaneth it, but that he also descended first into the lowest parts of the earth?
Then Herod, perceiving that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, as many as were two years old and under according to the time which he had diligently searched out of the wise men.
If the verity of God appear more excellent through my lie, unto his praise, why am I henceforth judged as a sinner?
"Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say, 'Father deliver me from this hour?' But therefore came I unto this hour.
For whosoever will save his life, shall lose it. But whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
He is not here. He is risen, as he said. Come, and see the place where the Lord was put.
And he carried him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, "If thou be the son of God, cast thyself down from hence.
Where is there such a God as thou? That pardonest wickedness, and forgivest the offenses of the remnant of thine heritage? He keepeth not his wrath for ever. And why? His delight is to have compassion.
And behold, the veil of the temple did rent in twain from the top to the bottom, and the earth did quake,
Them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar. For my house shall be a house of prayer for all people.
Therewith bless we God the father, and therewith curse we men which are made after the similitude of God.
And he went through all manner of cities and towns, teaching, and journeying towards Jerusalem.
For when the world, through wisdom, knew not God in the wisdom of God: it pleased God through foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
And the apostles returned, and told him what great things they had done. And he took them and went aside into a solitary place, nigh to a city called Bethsaida.
"What say ye to this? A certain man had two sons, and came to the elder and said, 'Son, go and work today in my vineyard.'
And they said, one to another, come and let us cast lots, to know for whose cause we are thus troubled. And they cast lots. And the lot fell upon Jonah.
If Christ be in you: the body is dead, because of sin; But the spirit is life for righteousness' sake.
And God made two great lights: a greater light to rule the day, and a lesser light to rule the night; and he made stars also.
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
'Woe be unto them that desire the day of the LORD: Wherefore would ye have it? As for that day of the LORD, it shall be dark and not clear.
Cry they out Alarum with the trumpet in the city, and the people not afraid? Cometh there any plague in a city without it be the LORD's doing?
{To the chanter, a Psalm of David} I waited patiently for the LORD, and he inclined unto me, and heard my calling.
saw a dream, which made me afraid: and the thoughts that I had upon my bed, with the visions of mine head, troubled me.
Lo, though he slay me, yet will I put my trust in him. But if I shew and reprove mine own ways in his sight,
And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a minister, to bear witness of those things which should be spoken afterward.
Brethren, look on your calling how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many of high degree are called:
remember, I say, that ye were at that time without Christ, and were reputed aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and were strangers from the testaments of promise, and had no hope, and were without God in this world.
neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed of any thing. Seeing he himself giveth life and breath to all men everywhere,
If thou shalt kill all this people as they were but one man then the nations which have heard the fame of thee, will speak, saying,
The one part preacheth Christ of strife, and not purely, supposing to add more adversity to my bonds.
Moreover, which he appointed before, them he also called; and which he called, them also he justified; which he justified, them he also glorified.
The vision of Isaiah the son of Amos, which he saw upon Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
For unto you it is given, that not only ye should believe on Christ: but also suffer for his sake,
Jesus answered and said, "Verily I say unto you, there is no man that hath forsaketh house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, other children, or lands, for my sake and the gospel's,
and that because of incomers, being false brethren, which came in among others to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage.
Then said Moses unto God, "When I come unto the children of Israel and say unto them, 'The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you,' and they say unto me, 'What is his name?' - What answer shall I give them?"
Ye know the preaching that God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ, which is Lord over all things;
For as touching that he died, he died as concerning sin once. And as touching that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
The Jews answered him saying, "For thy good works' sake we stone thee not: but for thy blasphemy, and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God."
And therefore I am joyful in the LORD, and my soul rejoiceth in my God. For he shall put upon me the garment of salvation, and cover me with the mantle of righteousness. He shall deck me like a bridegroom, and as a bride that hath her apparel upon her.
the same in himself to have it declared when the time were full come: that all things, both the things which are in heaven, and also the things which are in earth, should be gathered together, even in Christ. That is to say, in him
Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, "This is a hard saying; Who can abide the hearing of it?"
By faith Noah honoured God, after that he was warned of things which were not seen, and prepared the ark to the saving of his household, through the which ark he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which cometh by faith.
It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were cast into the sea, rather than that he should offend one of these little ones.
I say unto you, Whosoever confesseth me before men, even him shall the son of man confess also before the angels of God.
and might be found in him, not having mine own righteousness which is of the law: But that which springeth of the faith which is in Christ. I mean, the righteousness which cometh of God through faith
O Blessed is the man that putteth his trust in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is himself.
Wine is a voluptuous thing, and drunkenness causes sedition; whoso delighteth therein, shall never be wise.
Behold, the sins of thy sister Sodom, were these: Pride, fullness of meat, abundance and Idleness: these things had she and her daughters. Besides that, they reached not their hand to the poor and needy,
because that all men should honour the son, even as they honour the father. He that honoureth not the son, the same honoureth not the father which hath sent him.
the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair, and took unto them wives, which they best liked among them all.
Then were the men exceedingly afraid and said unto him, "Why didst thou so?" For they knew that he was fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them.
And they compelled one that passed by, called Simon of Cyrene, which came out of the field, and was father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.
Then said Elkanah her husband to her, "Hannah why weepest thou? And why eatest thou not? And why is thine heart so troubled? Am not I better to thee, than ten sons?"
But all the wicked doers of my people, that say, 'Tush, the plague is not so nigh to come so hastily upon us,' those shall perish with the sword.
"For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall continue with his wife, and two shall be made one flesh."
And they departed thence, and took their journey through Galilee, and would not that any man should have known it.
Then said Samuel, "Hath the LORD as great pleasure in burnt sacrifices and offerings, as he hath that thou shouldest obey his voice? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to give heed is better than the fat of rams.
Likewise these dreamers defile the flesh, despise rulers, and speak evil of them that are in authority.
After that, Joseph of Arimathaea, which was a disciple of Jesus - but secretly for fear of the Jews - besought Pilate that he might take down the body of Jesus. And Pilate gave him license.
The LORD is nigh unto them that are contrite in heart, and will save such as be of a humble spirit.
that ye might walk worthy of the Lord in all things that please, being fruitful in all good works and increasing in the knowledge of God
and unto the congregation of the first born sons, which are written in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of just and perfect men:
then shall we which live and remain, be caught up with them also in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so shall we ever be with the Lord.
"What acceptable thing shall I offer unto the LORD? Shall I bow my knee to the high God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, and with calves of a year old?
When I heard these words, I sat me down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven,
The light of the body is thine eye: wherefore if thine eye be single, all thy body shall be full of light.
For he is the minister of God, for thy wealth. But and if thou do evil, then fear: for he beareth not a sword for nought; but is the minister of God, to take vengeance on them that do evil.
And he cast Adam out, and set at the entering of the garden Eden, Cherubim with a naked sword moving in and out, to keep the way to the tree of life.
For what is it wherein ye were inferiors unto other congregations? Except it be therein that I was not grievous unto you. Forgive me this wrong done unto you.
And the LORD answered me thus, "Say not so, 'I am too young': For thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee unto, and whatsoever I command thee, that shalt thou speak.
He that is not with me, is against me: And he that gathereth not with me, scattereth abroad.
but we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministration of the word."
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my seat, even as I overcame and have sitten with my father, in his seat.
Blessed are the people whose God is the LORD Jehovah; and blessed are the folk whom he hath chosen to be his inheritance.
Then gat up the principal fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and the Levites, and all they whose spirit God had raised to go up, and to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem.
Nevertheless we are of good comfort, and had rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
But the others of the dead men lived not again, until the thousand years were finished. This is that first resurrection.
For all the Athenians and strangers which were there gave themselves to nothing else, but either to tell or to hear new tidings.
Then Jephthah fled from his brethren and dwelt in the land of Tob. And there gathered idle people to Jephthah, and went out with him.
Wherefore then serveth the law? The law was added because of transgression - till the seed came, to which the promise was made - and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
But in vain they worship me, teaching doctrines which are nothing but men's precepts.'"
Go and learn, what that meaneth: 'I have pleasure in mercy, and not in offering.' For I am not come to call the righteous, but the sinners to repentance."
And Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
And the four beasts had, each one of them, six wings about him, and they were full of eyes within. And they had no rest day neither night saying, "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God almighty, which was, and is, and is to come."
And he said, "Take thy only son Isaac whom thou lovest, and get thee unto the land of Moria, and sacrifice him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will show thee."
Likewise I say unto you, Joy is made in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth."
When he saw many of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, "O generation of vipers, who hath taught you to flee from the vengeance to come?
And Philip found Nathaniel, and said unto him, "We have found him of whom Moses, in the law and the prophets, did write: Jesus, the son of Joseph of Nazareth."
But woe is then to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days.
And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of a bush. And he perceived that the bush burned with fire, and consumed not.
This is he of whom I said, 'After me cometh a man, which went before me. For he was before me,
Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, "Art thou the King of the Jews?"
and hast made us unto our God, kings and priests and we shall reign on the earth."
Now the time shall come, that when they call unto the LORD, he shall not hear them, but hide his face from them, because that through their own Imaginations they have dealt so wickedly.
For thus sayeth the LORD thy redeemer, even he that fashioned thee from thy mother's womb: I am the LORD, which do all things myself alone. I only have spread out the heavens, and I only have laid the foundation of the earth.
and then Enoch lived a godly life, and was no more seen - for God took him away.
Sell that ye have, and give alms. And make you bags, which wax not old, and treasure that faileth not in heaven, where no thief cometh, neither moth corrupteth.
when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be made marvelous in all them that believe: because our testimony that we had unto you, was believed even the same day that we preached it.
If any man teach otherwise, and is not content with the wholesome words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine of godliness,
and saying, "Sirs, why do ye this? We are mortal men like unto you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven and earth and the sea and all that in them is,
And as she continued praying before the LORD, Eli marked her mouth -
Then they said unto him, "What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may cease from troubling us?" For the sea wrought, and was troublous.
in whom all the body is coupled and knit together, in every joint, wherewith one ministereth to another - according to the operation as every part hath his measure - and increaseth the body, unto the edifying of itself in love.
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of them which bring glad tidings of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things."
This is another communication that God had with Jeremiah, saying,
Servants, be obedient unto your bodily masters in all things: not with eye service as men pleasers, but in singleness of heart fearing God.
This Melchizedek, king of Salem - which being priest of the most high God, met Abraham, as he returned again from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him:
Then the king of Egypt called for the midwives and said unto them, "Why have ye dealt on this manner and have saved the men children?"
For these commandments: Thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not bear false witness, thou shalt not desire, and so forth: if there be any other commandment, they are all comprehended in this saying, "Love thine neighbor as thyself."
As Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, even so do these resist the truth, men they are of corrupt minds, and lewd as concerning the faith:
Woe be to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, for ye are like unto painted tombs which appear beautiful outwards: but are within full of dead men's bones and of all filthiness.
And brought him to Jesus. And Jesus beheld him and said, "Thou art Simon the son of Jonas, thou shalt be called Cephas," which is by interpretation, a stone.
Stand, therefore, and your loins gird about with verity, having on the breastplate of righteousness,
And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in unto him; And putting his hands on him, that he might receive his sight."
And he was a casting out a devil, which was dumb. And it followed when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake, and the people wondered.
Then after three years, I returned to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.
And so he said, "Go, and tell this people: 'Ye shall hear indeed, but ye shall not understand; ye shall plainly see, and not perceive.
Then answered certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees saying, "Master, we would fain see a sign of thee."
And also certain women, which were healed of evil spirits, and infirmities: Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,
if they entice thee, and say, "Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, and lurk privily for the innocent without a cause:
For there are many disobedient and talkers of vanity, and deceivers of minds, namely they of the circumcision,
But thou, after thine hard heart that cannot repent, heapest thee together the treasure of wrath against the day of vengeance: when shall be opened the righteous judgment of God,
but they made signs to their fellows which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and they filled both the ships, that they sunk again.
And with that, the LORD stretched out his hand, and touched my mouth, and said moreover unto me, "Behold, I put my words in thy mouth,
And the master of the ship came to him and said unto him, "Why slumberest thou? Up! And call unto thy god, that God may think on us, that we perish not."
How is it then brethren? When ye come together, every man hath his song, hath his doctrine, hath his tongue, hath his revelation, hath his interpretation: Let all things be done unto edifying.
And though Edom said, "Well, we are destroyed, we will go build up again the places that be wasted": yet sayeth the LORD of Hosts, "What they builded, that brake I down: so that it was called a cursed land and people, whom the LORD hath ever been angry withal."
And he departed again from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, and came unto the sea of Galilee through the midst of the coasts of the ten cities.
For as I passed by and beheld the manner how ye worship your gods, I found an altar wherein was written, Unto the unknown God. Whom ye then ignorantly worship, him show I unto you:
Let your speech be always well favoured and be powdered with salt, that ye may know how to answer every man.
which gave himself for our sins, to deliver us from this present evil world, through the will of God our father,
"'When a man lieth with a woman and hath to do with her, which is a bondwoman and hath been meddled withal of another man; but not loosed out nor hath obtained freedom, it shall be punished: but they shall not suffer death, because she was not free.
Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh for to sin, neither say thou before the angel that it is thy ignorance. For then God will be angry at thy voice, and destroy all the works of thine hands.
And it chanced that the LORD was minded to take up Elijah to heaven in a whirlwind.
according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God, which gospel is committed unto me.
He saw before, and spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul should not be left in hell: neither his flesh should see corruption.
And it fortuned, the first day of the eleventh month in the fortieth year, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel according unto all that the LORD had given him in commandment unto them,
As soon as he came into Egypt, the Egyptians saw the woman that she was very fair.
It is showed unto me, my brethren, of you by them that are of the house of Chloe; that there is strife among you.
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest prophets, and stonest them that are sent to thee: how often would I have gathered thy children together, as the hen gathereth her nest under her wings, but ye would not.
And Jesus said unto them, "Fill the water pots with water." And they filled them up to the hard brim.
And John bare record, saying, "I saw the spirit descend from heaven, like unto a dove, and abide upon him, and I knew him not:
And after eight days again, his disciples were within, and Thomas was with them. Jesus then came when the doors were shut, and stood in the midst and said, "Peace be with you."
And it came to pass, as he sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down also with Jesus, and his disciples.
And he said unto them, "Be not afraid. Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified. He is risen, he is not here. Behold the place, where they put him.
Nevertheless, he left not himself without witness, in that he showed his benefits, in giving us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness."
And it fortuned as he was in a certain city, behold, there was a man full of leprosy: and when he had spied Jesus, he fell on his face and besought him saying, "Lord if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean."
And let him that is on the housetop, not descend down into the house, neither enter therein, to fetch anything out of his house.
And he shall send his angels with the great voice of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his chosen from the four winds, and from the one end of the world to the other.
I will root out the chariots from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem, the battle bows shall be destroyed. He shall give the doctrine of peace unto the Heathen, and his dominion shall be from the one sea to the other, and from the floods to the ends of the world.
Let no man deceive you with vain words. For through such things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of unbelief.
And the mariners were afraid and cried every man unto his god, and cast out the goods that were in the ship in to the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah gat him under the hatches and laid him down and slumbered.
Perceive ye not, that whatsoever goeth in at the mouth, descendeth down into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
The first day of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus saying unto him, "Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the paschal lamb?"
But and if thou dost evil, by and by thy sin lieth open in the door. Notwithstanding, let it be subdued unto thee, and see thou rule it."
And the LORD said, "The cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and their sin is exceeding grievous.
And he had in his right hand seven stars. And out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword. And his face shone even as the sun in his strength.
A fool bringeth up a slander of his neighbour; but a wise man will keep it secret.
Who provideth meat for the raven, when his young ones cry unto God, and fly about for want of meat?
With his spirit hath he garnished the heavens, and with his hand hath he wounded the rebellious serpent.
And one of the elders said unto me, "Weep not. Behold, a lion being of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, hath obtained to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof."
Whereas I yet am even he only, that for mine own self's sake do away thine offenses, and forget thy sins: so that I will never think upon them.
There shall not a man be able to withstand thee all the days of thy life. For as I was with Moses, so will I be with thee and will neither leave thee, nor forsake thee.
And in the midst of the candlesticks, one like unto the son of man clothed with a linen garment down to the ground, and gird about the paps with a golden girdle.
That no man is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident. For the just shall live by faith.
Keep them therefore and do them, for that is your wisdom and understanding in the sight of the nations: which, when they have heard all these ordinances, shall say, 'O what a wise and understanding people is this great nation.'
This is the stone cast aside of you builders which is set in the chief place of the corner.
And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery, and set her in the midst and said unto him,
even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them - which in like manner defiled themselves, with fornication, and followed strange flesh - are set forth for an example, and suffer the vengeance of eternal fire.
Brethren, if I yet preach circumcision: why do I then yet suffer persecution? For then had the offense which the cross giveth, ceased.
While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name. Those that thou gavest me, have I kept, and none of them is lost, but that lost child: that the scripture might be fulfilled.
If any man minister unto me, let him follow me: and where I am, there shall also my minister be. And if any man minister unto me, him will my father honour.
And he said unto them, "Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast." And they bare it.
Moreover, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. It grieveth me not to write one thing often to you. For to you it is a sure thing.
and found sitting in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep, and doves, and changers of money sitting.
that the one may take the room of this ministration, and apostleship from the which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place."
If thou hatest her, put her away, sayeth the LORD God of Israel and give her a clothing for the scorn, sayeth the LORD of Hosts. Look well then to your spirit, and despise her not.
Jesus perceived that they would ask him, and said unto them, "This is it that ye enquire of between yourselves, that I said, 'After a while ye shall not see me, and again after a while ye shall see me.'
And the scribes, which came from Jerusalem, said, "He hath Beelzebub, and by the power of the chief devil, casteth out devils."
Then Job stood up, and rent his clothes, shaved his head, fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
And he said unto them, "How is it that ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must go about my father's business?"
"Ye yourselves can find time to dwell in sealed houses: and shall this house lie waste?
Then said the LORD unto Satan, "Hast thou not considered my servant Job, and how that he is an innocent and virtuous man: such one as feareth God, and escheweth evil, and that there is none like him in the land?"
But strong meat belongeth to them that are perfect, which through custom have their wits exercised, to judge both good and evil also.
And therefore turn you unto me, all ye ends of the earth; so shall ye be saved, for I am God, and there is else none.
the Sabeans came in violently, and took them all away: yea, they have slain thy servants with the sword, and I only ran my way, to tell thee."
"Thus sayeth Cyrus the king of Persia: 'The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the land and hath commanded me to build him a house at Jerusalem in Judah.
And let them be lights in the firmament of heaven, to shine upon the earth." And so it was.
Cast not away, therefore, your confidence; which hath great reward to recompense.
but as we were allowed of God, that the gospel should be committed unto us: even so we speak, not as though we intended to please men, but God, which trieth our hearts.
Else wouldst thou say unto me, 'O my father, thou art he that hast brought me up, and led me from my youth:
Wherefore, "Come out from among them, and separate yourselves," saith the Lord, "and touch none unclean thing: so will I receive you,
These shall he carry away with great pride, forsomuch as he hath cast down so many thousands, nevertheless he shall not prevail.
Then she stood up with her daughters-in-law and returned from the country of Moab: for she had heard say, being in the country of Moab, how that the LORD hath visited his people and given them food.
The end of a thing is better than the beginning. The patient of spirit is better than the high minded.
Whosoever hateth his brother, is a man slayer. And ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, "Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not have: but a body hast thou ordained me.
For we are circumcision which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh:
Suffer afflictions: sorrow ye and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
Let the ungodly man forsake his ways and the unrighteous his imaginations, and turn again unto the LORD: so shall he be merciful unto him; and to our God, for he is ready to forgive.
I myself am full certified of you, my brethren, that ye yourselves are full of goodness, and filled with all knowledge, and are able to exhort one another.
Let us follow those things which make for peace: and things wherewith one may edify another.
that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, through the grace of our God, and of the Lord Jesus Christ.
but showed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Jewry, and to the gentiles, that they should repent, and turn to God, and do the right works of repentance.
The same found his brother Simon first, and said unto him, "We have found Messiah," which is by interpretation, Anointed.
It is written in the prophets, 'That they shall all be taught of God.' Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the father, cometh unto me:
Then Peter said unto her, "Why have ye agreed together, to tempt the spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out."
There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD shall stand.
Then said Jesus again unto them, "I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins. Whither I go thither can ye not come."
The woman said unto him, "Sir, give me of that water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw."
and at the second time, Joseph was known of his brethren, and Joseph's kindred was made known unto Pharaoh.
And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, "Send the people away, that they may go into the towns, and villages roundabout, and lodge, and get meat, for we are here in a place of wilderness."

Hearken ye isles unto me, and give heed ye people that are afar. The LORD called me out of the womb and made mention of my name, when I was in my mother's bowels.
Therefore stumblest thou in the daytime and the prophet with them in the night. I will bring thy mother to silence, and why?
And when the priests were come out of the Holy place, then a cloud filled the house of the LORD,
Again he appointeth in David a certain present day after so long a time, saying as it is rehearsed, "This day if ye hear his voice, be not hard hearted."
But the sure ground of God remaineth, and hath this seal: the Lord knoweth them that are his, and let every man that calleth on the name of Christ, depart from iniquity.
Wherefore I declare unto you that no man speaking in the spirit of God defieth Jesus. Also no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the holy ghost.
This spake he of the spirit, which they that believed on him should receive. For the holy ghost was not yet there, because that Jesus was not yet glorified.
And all they that were about them, strengthened their hands with vessels of silver and gold, with goods and cattle, and jewels, beside that which they gave of their own free will.
But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, as they do."
The angels also, which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day:
for to declare his son by me, that I should preach him among the heathen: Immediately I commended not of the matter with flesh and blood,
and went into the house, and found the child with Mary his mother, and knelt down, and worshipped him: and opened their treasures, and offered unto him gifts; gold, frankincense and myrrh.
Paul, after this, tarried there yet a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, Priscilla and Aquila accompanying him. And he shore his head in Cenchreae. For he had a vow.
He that loveth his life shall destroy it: And he that hateth his life in this world, shall keep it unto life eternal.
Write therefore the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be fulfilled hereafter;
This I warn you of, and commend not that ye come together: not after a better manner but after a worse.
No man taketh it from me: but I put it away of myself. I have power to put it from me, and power I have to take it again. This commandment have I received of my father."
And he ordained the twelve that they should be with him, and that he might send them to preach.
and ye shall be hated of all men, for my name: but he that shall endureth unto the end, shall be saved.
And hath opened unto us the mystery of his will according to his pleasure, and purposed
I am come in my father's name, and ye receive me not. If another shall come in his own name, him will ye receive.
For whosoever is ashamed of me, and of my sayings: of him shall the son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in his own glory, and in the glory of his father, and of the holy angels.
But remember the LORD thy God, how that it is he which gave thee power to do manfully, for to make good the covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is come to pass this day.
Let us walk honestly as it were in the daylight: not in eating and drinking: neither in chambering and wantonness: neither in strife and envying:
The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, and said unto him, "Get thee out of the way, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee."
Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and receiveth an wholesome benefit of the LORD.
When Jesus had heard that, he departed thence by ship into a desert place out of the way. And when the people had heard thereof, they followed him afoot out of their cities.
that their hearts might be comforted and knit together in love, and in all riches of full understanding, for to know the mystery of God the father and of Christ:
For the LORD God is a light and defense; the LORD will give grace and worship, and no good thing shall he withhold from them that live a godly life.
The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, like as are the rivers of water; he may turn it whithersoever he will.

Then when lust hath conceived, she bringeth forth sin, and sin when it is finished bringeth forth death.
Neither give ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: But give yourselves unto God, as they that are alive from death. And give your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
As for their gods, it may well be said of them, "They are gods, that made neither heaven nor earth: therefore shall they perish from the earth, and from all things under heaven."
but this man after he had offered one sacrifice for sins, sat him down for ever on the righthand of God,
Then Hannah rose up after that they had eaten and drunk in Shiloh. And Eli the priest sat upon a stool by one of the side posts of the temple of the LORD.
But the Angel of the LORD spake to Elijah the Tishbite, "Up, and go against the messengers of the king of Samaria and say unto them, 'Is it because there is no God in Israel, that ye go to ask through Beelzebub the god of Ekron?
Neither is there any creature invisible in the sight of it. For all things are naked and bare unto the eyes of him, of whom we speak.
I see him but not now, I behold him but not nigh. There shall come a star of Jacob and rise a scepter of Israel, which shall smite the coasts of Moab and undermine all the children of Seth.
Be not ashamed to testify our Lord, neither be ashamed of me, which am bound for his sake: but suffer adversity with the gospel also through the power of God,
How dare one of you having business with another, go to law under the wicked? And not rather under the saints?
And now hearken, Israel, unto the ordinances and laws which I teach you, for to do them: that ye may live and go and conquer the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.
That we speak of is wisdom among them that are perfect - not the wisdom of this world, neither of the rulers of this world, which goeth to nought -
But Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, "If thou shalt bless me, and enlarge my coasts, and shalt let thine hand be with me, and wilt keep me from evil that it vex me not." And God sent him his desire.
What then? So that Christ be preached all manner ways, whether it be by occasion, or of true meaning, I therein joy: Yea and will joy.

If ye then, which are evil, can give to your children good gifts, how much more shall your father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask of him?

Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name. Ask and ye shall receive it: that our joy may be full.
Howbeit, one Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his household. And many of the Corinthians gave audience and believed, and were baptised.
But I have prayed for thee that thy faith fail not. And when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren."
And they asked him saying, "Master, we know that thou sayest, and teachest right, neither considerest thou any man's degree, but teachest the way of God truly.
No man shall do evil to another, no man shall destroy another, in all the hill of my Sanctuary. For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, even as though the water of the sea flowed over the earth.
Moreover, thus sayeth the LORD, "Let not the wise man rejoice in his wisdom, nor the strong man in his strength; neither the rich man in his riches.
While he thus spake unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him saying, "My daughter is even now deceased: but come and lay thy hand on her, and she shall live."
And Joseph also ascended from Galilee, out of a city called Nazareth, into Jewry: unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem: because he was of the house and lineage of David:
But now go I my way to him that sent me, and none of you asketh me, 'Whither goest thou?'
He took unto him twelve, and said unto them, "Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all shall be fulfilled that are written by the prophets of the son of man.
Behold, God is my salvation: I will be bold therefore and not fear. For the LORD God is my strength and my praise whereof I sing: and is become my saviour.
And he came to Capernaum, and when he was come to house, he asked them, "What was it that ye disputed between you by the way?"
because thou sayest thou art rich and increased with goods, and hast need of nothing, and knowest not how thou art wretched and miserable, poor, blind, and naked.
And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou laid to rest with thy fathers, then I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy body, and will establish his kingdom.
I hate your new holidays and fastings, even from my very heart. I cannot away with such vanity and holding in of the people. They lay upon me as a burden, and I am weary of bearing them!
because the creatures are subdued to vanity against their will: but for his will which subdueth them in hope.
But the gift is not like as the sin. For if, through the sin of one, many be dead: much more plenteous, upon many, was the grace of God and gift by grace: which grace was given by one man, Jesus Christ.
If no, I shall strip her naked, and set her, even as she came into the world. Yea, I shall lay her waste, and make her like a wilderness, and slay her for thirst.
that by two immutable things - in which it was impossible that God should lie - we might have perfect consolation, which have fled, for to hold fast the hope that is set before us:
But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, the same shall consume the palaces of Benhadad.
And then the LORD said unto Samuel, "How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have cast him away from reigning over Israel? Fill a horn with ointment, and come: I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I have spied me a king among his sons."
And the LORD God made to spring out of the earth, all manner trees beautiful to the sight and pleasant to eat; and the tree of life in the midst of the garden, and also the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
And when she could no longer hide him, she took a basket of bulrushes and daubed it with slime and pitch, and laid the child therein, and put it in the flags by the river's brink.
And your eyes shall see, and you shall say, "The LORD will be magnified upon the borders of Israel."
I will gather up man and beast: I will gather up the fowls in the air and the fish in the sea, to the great decay of the wicked: and will utterly destroy the men out of the land, sayeth the LORD.
And I saw when the lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard one of the four beasts say, as it were the noise of thunder, "Come and see."
And I meant not at all of the fornicators of this world, either of the covetous, or of extortioners, either of the idolaters - for then must ye needs have gone out of the world -
All these things happened upon them for examples, and were written to put us in remembrance, whom the ends of the world are come upon.
For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy. For I coupled you to one man, to make you a chaste virgin to Christ:
And Joseph, which was also called of the apostles Barnabas - that is to say, the son of consolation - being a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,
And thou shalt whet them on thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou art at home in thine house and as thou walkest by the way; and when thou liest down and when thou risest up.
God be thanked, that though ye were once the servants of sin, ye have yet obeyed with your heart unto the form of doctrine where unto ye were delivered.
and found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy with his wife Priscilla: because that the Emperor Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome. And he drew unto them.
He that descended, is even the same also that ascended up, even above all heavens, to fulfill all things.
For verily the gifts and calling of God are such, that it cannot repent him of them.
And now Lord behold their threatenings, and grant unto thy servants with all confidence to speak thy word.
but they shall prevail no longer. For their madness shall be uttered unto all men as theirs was.
The God of all grace - which called you unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus - shall his own self, after ye have suffered a little affliction, make you perfect: shall settle, strengthen, and establish you.
But and if ye will not forgive men their trespasses, no more shall your father forgive your trespasses.
Have we not all one father? Hath not one God made us? Why doth every one of us then despise his own brother, and so break the covenant of our fathers?
The Pharisees said unto him, "Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true."
And some spake of the temple, how it was garnished with goodly stones, and jewels. He said,
and came into Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and there taught them on the Sabbath days.
Why lettest thou me see weariness and labour? Tyranny and violence are before me, power overgoeth right:
'You only have I accepted from all the generations of the earth: therefore will I visit you in all your wickednesses.
And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels about the throne, and about the beasts and the elders, and I heard thousand thousands,
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, which will lighten things that are hid in darkness: and open the counsels of the hearts. And then shall every man have praise of God.
"Thou son of man, make a lamentable complaint over the king of Tyre, and tell him, 'Thus sayeth the LORD God: Thou art a seal of a likeness, full of wisdom and excellent beauty.
But now send and gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel; and the Prophets of Baal, four hundred and fifty; and the Prophets of the groves; four hundred, which eat of Jezebel's table.
Elijah was a man, mortal even as we are, and he prayed in his prayer, that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
She conceived yet again, and bare a daughter. And he said unto him, "Call her name Loruhamah, that is, 'Not obtaining mercy,' for I will have no pity upon the house of Israel, but forget them, and put them clean out of remembrance.
and this day do I set thee over the people and kingdoms: that thou mayest root out, break off, destroy, and make waste; and that thou mayest build up and plant."
Servants obey your masters with all fear, not only if they be good and courteous: but also though they be froward.
and the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth, and all the fowls were fulfilled with their flesh.
Let them that persecute me be confounded, and let not me be confounded. Let their hearts fail them, and not mine heart fail. Bring upon them an evil day, and bruise them again and again.
For this is the tidings, that ye heard at the beginning, that we should love one another:
and was made perfect, and the cause of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him:
But watch thou in all things, and suffer adversity, and do the work of an evangelist, fulfil thine office unto the utmost.
Be of like affection one towards another. Be not high minded, but make yourselves equal to them of the lower sort. Be not wise in your own opinions.
Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's chosen? It is God that justifieth:
And look to, that no man be destitute of the grace of God, and that no root of bitterness spring up and trouble; and thereby many be defiled:
whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the gentiles:
and he said unto them, "Ye are they, which justify yourselves before men: but God knoweth your hearts. For that which is highly esteemed among men is abominable in the sight of God.
But I now rejoice, not that ye were sorry, but that ye so sorrowed, that ye repented.
Ananias went his way and entered into the house and put his hands on him and said, "Brother Saul, the Lord that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight and be filled with the holy ghost."
And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the entry for gladness, but ran in and told how Peter stood before the entry.
And as he considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of one John, which was called Mark also, where many were gathered together in prayer.
And he began to say unto them, "This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears."
And straightway the father of the child cried with tears, saying, "Lord I believe, help mine unbelief."
"Suppose ye that I am come to send peace on earth? I tell you, nay: but rather debate.
There are chaste, which were so born out of their mother's belly. And there are chaste, which be made chaste of men. And there be chaste, which have made themselves chaste for the kingdom of heavens' sake. He that can take it, let him take it."
If I by the power of Beelzebub cast out devils: by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore shall they be your judges.
And call ye no man your father upon the earth, for there is but one, your father, and he is in heaven.
And Jesus rebuked the devil, and he came out of him: and the child was healed even that same hour.
and he spied a fig tree afar off, having leaves, and went to see whether he might find anything thereon: but when he came thereto, he found nothing but leaves. For the time of figs was not yet.
Pluck up your hearts and be strong, dread not nor be afeared of them: for the LORD thy God himself will go with thee, and will neither let thee go nor forsake thee."
Then changed the king his countenance, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his body shook, and his knees smote one against another.
Hear the word of the LORD, O ye children of Israel: For the LORD must punish them, that dwell in the land. And why? There is no faithfulness, there is no mercy, there is no knowledge of God in the land:
If any man have a son that is stubborn, and disobedient, that he will not hearken unto the voice of his father and voice of his mother, and they have taught him nurture, but he would not hearken unto them:
And now when night was come, because it was the even that goeth before the Sabbath,
